Again no process on getting ILLEGALS out of the state. They both can pound sand.

Davis: "I want to thank my mom, my dad, my second grade teacher, my right hand, oops, geez, I mean...."
To: evilsmoker
Oh yeah! He'll make a contribution to the Simon campaign to! LOL
To: NormsRevenge
Thanks to you and Joe for the running commentary, you guys were great!!!
To: evilsmoker
Thanks for the heads up. I'll send Mulholland to his room. And if he continues to misbehave, I'll have a stern talk with him in the study after dinner.

I'm trying to throw a kink in Davis' well-oiled smear machine. Are ya gonna help?? I'd be awfully upset if Mr. Mulholland was busy answering Freeper calls rather than press calls!

Now the radio folk are discussing the debate & addressing the problems of the candidates being able to set the terms of the debates.

I think on balance, both candidates performed well. Davis was visibly more nervous, while Simon was strikingly confident and seemed very much in control.
Davis was a great deal more evasive. Both were at times, but it seemed much more striking with Davis, possibly because I felt the questions he was evasive on were much more important. The budget's an excellent example - that was a clear win for Simon. The energy crisis was another clear win for Simon, citing specific quotes from articles to reinforce his point.
I think Davis was stronger on the gun control question; clearly Simon didn't want to be boxed in on his gun control position. I think Simon should have been more forthright on that issue.
I loved the "Why do people hate you, Davis?" question, and there's no doubt there was nothing but evasion on that one.
On balance, I was impressed by Simon. I thought he did a first-class job. Davis seemed a great deal more uncertain. What was particularly striking to me was that Davis defended himself through on strikingly unimportant issues - the bad family leave bill, the global warming bill that's not even going to take effect until he's out of office, and so on. Simon, on the other hand, nailed him on the really important issues such as the budget.
What did you all think? I gotta get back to work ...

Well, at least you might jam a line for 15 minutes.
To: Bonaparte
Don't threaten to spank him, he might like that.
To: A CA Guy
The follow up is great.

The last time we Freeped him (during the Fla. recount) we jammed his line and filled his voicemail. It was quite effective.

"...rather than press calls!"I may be wrong, but I think Mulholland has more staff picking up the phone than just Ernestine the operator. Besides, for press conferences, his office contacts the press, not the other way around. In addition, the phone number publicized to us is not the same as those dedicated lines available to media contacts. You won't slow down his operation, you'll only be wasting precious time you could be spending precinct walking or phoning for Simon.
To: evilsmoker
Which is what you can do!
Will that stop him in general? NO!
He would have OTHER private Email addresses and more than a couple of phone lines I am sure.
We do more good by discussing the election with folks who might change their vote. (In person or on message boards when home)
IMO!

"...he might like that."But he won't like the bill he gets from Brunhilda, our resident spankstress. All 350 pounds of her will be on top of him till he pays. His bladder will be our persuader. ;-)
To: Bonaparte
A.) Mulholland picks up his own line.
B.) This is NOT the public number he gives out
C.) There are enough hours in the day to call him AND go precinct walking.
