What has happened to our image as a beacon of freedom, opportunity and the right way to live?
Much of the world fears or hates us. We have a proclaimed policy of attacking any country whose policies or regimes don't follow our dictates.
Why have we become the biggest bully in the world?

Hussein would have left, gone into exile, or his own people would have turned him over. Like the soldiers giving up in droves in 1991. BUT NO.. WE NEVER LEARN IN THIS COUNTRY... NEVER. So now some are aiding and abetting the enemy. Encouraging them, just like we did the North Vietnamese.
The results when we did not support our troops in Vietnam were devestating. There were way more of our young hero's coming home in body bags, or losing limb or mind. I promise you that!! I saw it firsthand.
I stepped up during Desert Storm. Organized a HUGE rally, that even made the "CNN Rally Map",.. and we did it in the freezing snow of a winter in Alaska, Mid winter.
All of us where saying "We must never let another Vietnam happen". Meaning the worst damage and the way it happened, was by unpatriotic peaceniks not supporting our efforts, our troops and the Commander in Chief. You know, like Bill Clinton in England. (Which is where he is today trying to butt in on very important deciscion regarding internal affairs, things he doesn't even have briefings on, and things he caused and is responsible for. So there he is again, where it all started, protesting against teh United States,.. BAGHDAD BABS SHOULD BE SINGING HIM "MEMORIES").
We thought America had awakened from their long collective sleep when it comes to war. But they don't remember how the dissention and anti war rallies HURT our troops. PUT SO MANY MORE NAMES ON THE WALL,. THAN EVER NEEDED TO BE THERE!!
This President won't micro manage, he will allow the people the capabilities and resources to do it right.
We will have MORE peace, because this President was brave enough to do the right thing. Not the politically right thing, the kind that got so many of our young men and women killed,.. but the "right" thing, removing Saddam from power. Destroying all weapons of mass destruction and biological weapons. To ignore it, will just get us more of what happened on 9/11.
Peace sounds wonderful, and we want it too. But there are people with a proverbial gun at our heads,.. all of our heads. Shooting us randomly,... and there won't be "peace" again until we have him under control, EXILED.
NO MORE VIETNAMS..... HONOR our Troops, and HONOR our Commander in Chief.
I remind everyone,.. Name ONE Republican Ex-President who came out and spoke out against the policies of the Acting President and Commander in Chief when Clinton was President?? NO one did.... They understood how necessary it is for the exiting President to just fade away.. you can't have too many Indian Chiefs, it just doesn't work. But they DID understand, supporting the President, even Clinton when he was acting as commander in Chief. But then, Clinton hated the military,.. so he just doesn't get it. And in reading what he is saying.. you have to say "What the hell was he saying?" He is just words, hollow words!! Dangerously hollow words. Traitor, and guilty of treason.
Because it weakens us in the eyes of the world, it makes the President look ineffective, not in control.
I realize this is all about politics, but now is not the time. I say the behavior of the Democratic Party has sunk to the lowest of low that I've seen in my lifetime.
This will be fought in our own streets. Because the Vets you hurt long ago, by risking their lives, then not providing them with the proper equipment, or training, and MORALE SUPPORT when they came home, KILLED THEM. I mean killed them inside. And they will be out there in force, just like we will. Watch...
The Dems are making it ugly. This never happened to Clinton when he was bombing into Milosovich's bedroom, nor bombing Aspirin Factories. You didn't hear Republican Senators stopping him, or saying he was a liar.
This is a huge amount of damage already done. I feel this country being divided, and I mean in a very angry way...
Keep it up you idiots, and soon, you will have what you want. Peace.. a peace of my mind 1 inch from your face.

President Bush is an honorable man, a good decent person. I'm sure this wasn't what he had hoped it would be either. But he has stepped upto the plate, and is doing it JUST RIGHT. THOSE IN THE KNOW, KNOW IT. I realize that isn't a concept everyone "gets". But with his administration, you can bet this one is going to be done right.
Now lets start backing the soldiers who are willing to fight under this mans leadership. To NOT do so is the epitomy of cowardly.

What happened is that cretins, such as Carter and Clinton made the USA look weak and damaged. Really, it IS as simple as that. The rest is supperficial ( to our friends and enemies alike ) and only bother us.
As far as being a " beacon of freedom, opportunity, and the right way to live " , the last is meaningless; the first two remain as they always have. We can't keep people from trying to get here, no matter what .
