We’ve seen politicians go to jail. We’ve seen a vice president of the United States — Spiro Agnew — resign to avoid any chance of going to jail. We have seen President Richard Nixon pardoned in order to keep him out of jail.
What we have never seen is a former president of the United States in jail. But now that is a real possibility, because Donald Trump can’t shut up and abide by a simple gag order.
Justice Juan Merchan has repeatedly tried to enforce his gag order with fines. Trump pays the fines and keeps violating the gag order.
Merchan, who is overseeing Trump’s New York trial on charges of election interference through the use of hush money, has said he has no interest in making history by putting Trump behind bars.

Juan Williams was always the only black man on the old discussion show the McLaughlin Group. Did see another later, the wittier Clarence Page, and much later a black woman Michelle Bernard, a lawyer and journalist.
That rarity inflated his value.
I think he started to believe he was better than he was. Imagine if someone tried to cut budget by thinking about letting him go. Outcry.

But the NYC Major Adams says Riker prison is prepared for Trump's incarceration therein. How is Riker prepared and where does the Secret Service fit in to such incarceration? Moot question because the Judge wouldn't dare.

I don’t understand the basic concept behind the gag order. Is it to keep Trump from influencing the jury because if that is the case... influencing the jury is impossible.
By impossible I mean a jury is SUPPOSED to assume innocence. A jury is SUPPOSED to make the prosecution PROVE guilt. That means the jury is SUPPOSED to be biased towards Trump already.
How can Trump influence a jury when they are already SUPPOSED to be on his side.
Now if you approach the situation as a jury is supposed to be unbiased towards both prosecution and defense... that isn’t our system. Government has no right to an unbiased jury because government HAS NO RIGHTS.
Government has no right to due process. Or a jury of their peers. No 5th amendment rights. Frankly government has no rights at all. Government only has responsibilities.
A gag order cannot protect government rights since they have none.
So what does a gag order do anyway?
That would just break my heart to hear that people might act out if Trump is assassinated.
I think I’m even crying now.
