Ukraine’s top general says the situation in the northern Kharkiv region has “significantly worsened” after Russia claimed to have captured four further villages as it expanded its surprise cross-border offensive.
A Ukrainian regional official insisted Russia’s progress was not yet “significant” but admitted ground fighting in the area was spreading. Meanwhile, speaking on British television, UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron acknowledged it was an “extremely dangerous moment,” adding that Russia had effectively “invaded [Ukraine] again.”
The precise goal of Russia’s new push – which began in the early hours of Friday morning – is unclear. It may be to create a buffer zone designed to reduce Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory, or possibly even a renewed assault on the city of Kharkiv, 30 kilometers (18 miles) to the south.
Equally, it could be an attempt to draw Ukrainian forces away from other key Russian objectives further south – which was the rationale Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky offered in his Sunday evening address.
“The idea behind the attacks in Kharkiv region is to stretch our forces and undermine morale and the motivational foundations of Ukrainians’ ability to defend ourselves,” he said.

It has been on other occasions as well. But only the uneducated would slander the bravery of a French soldier. British soldiers are more likely to surrender according to history.

Poor Ukrainian bastards. 300 of them retreated in Vovchansk and their commanders denied evacuation so they had no choice but surrender or turn and fight. They ended up up being destroyed by a massive Russian advance. The Russia advance was so swift that they literally were overrun and wiped out completely.
These are the Ukrainian soldiers responsible for the sector that has been shelling Belgorod for over a year, and in the past 24 hours Ukraine used Chek Misisles and a Himars to hit over 24 high rise apartments with indiscriminate fire.
The manner in which the Russia wiped them out with vengence in this sector was breathtaking.

Also, Ukraine was supposed to have built three lines of fortifications last year in this sector and it was paid for, but the money disappeared.
The corruption is costing lives. Ukraine has started an investigation. They have also started another round of relieving officers in a second purge in 48 hours.
Additonally, every unit in Ukraine was directed to send squads, platoons, etc., and small groups of soldiers from their current Southern and Eastern line of contact to the North.... This is the beginning of the end.
Even Zeepers will have to admit canabalizing units in the East and South who are already in contact with Russian advances, to rust Northward, the beginning of the total collaspe.

When Ukraine removes enough troops from the sourt, Russia will move and take Odesa. Odesa remains a prime target for acquisition.
Bullcrap. The tea drinking Brit surrender monkeys fled the battlefield and got on boats at Dunkirk and called it a huge victory.
In a 6 week battle the French suffered 20% more dead than we did in all of Vietnam. They inflicted 27k dead, 111k wounded, and 18k missing on the Germans.
The Brits fled and left the French flank open but the French actually tried to protect their retreat and evacuation.
Ultimately they were defeated by a modernized German Army with some very good new tactics. But only a jackass would call them cowardly and surrender prone.
In a reversal of all military math, the Brits at Singapore actually surrendered to an attacking Jap force a third of their size.

In WWI the French lost 1,385,000 dead and 4,266,000 wounded. The Brits lost 887k dead (including colonies) 1,675,000 wounded.
We never hear the end of Flanders Fields and poppies etc.

Do you have any idea what they did at Verdun? It was beyond all human endurance. Probably the most overall brutal disgusting battle in human history.
And then there is the brutality they endured with Napoleon in Russia.

BTW, the Battle of Yorktown where Cornwallis surrendered? That was basically the French Army and Navy, supported by the Continental Army.
