Looks like there is one in Pennsylvania with a partial moat. I wonder if a tractor and a little bit of work could complete it. Oh I just saw a Michigan one, has a drawbridge and a moat. That drawbridge part, definitely need one of those

I think I need to look into moving to alabama. For $230,000 you get a castle and 29 Acres!

The one in Kansas is remarkable!
Some really beautiful architecture there that cannot be found just anywhere!
German stained glass, and a 300 year old staircase!
Even though it has all that fancy stuff, I just love the
little bedroom tucked up under the eaves, with the stone work behind the head board!
So far as the “American castles go, Kansas gets my vote!

Sometimes the Visiting Tourist tries his/her hand at land development. Results are usually overpriced/substandard construction/planning right out of a comic book.
I didn't look at it but "UGH!" covers this as well as a whole bunch of others I've seen around here. (Like the stucco/concrete slab thing with about a zillion old beer cans for exterior siding....)

It’s 2pm here and the bottom has fallen out of the skies. Not good for riding a motorcycle. Could already be flooding in certain areas.

like they had just been stuck in the wet cement.
Maybe misshapen is not the right word, but you would think
they’d have picked stones that had the same symmetry, yes?

A couple of those “castles” booked from 2 to 4 MILLION
asking price, and were completely unfinished inside!
If I’m forking over that kind of dough, I want it finished!

That is a lot of work.
The dock and hoist are in the water with the help of other camp friends. They put in about 5. Today we will get the boat in and put it on the hoist. That way hubby can go fishing whenever he wants. Believe me. He wants. LOL
