Former President Donald Trump and President Biden are virtually dead even in the key battleground states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, a new batch of polls found.

Trump, 77, narrowly edged out Biden, 81, in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin by a single percentage point, but lagged behind him slightly in Michigan by the same margin, CBS News/YouGov surveys found.

All figures were within the margin of error.

Overall, only 40% of voters believe that Biden “understands people like you” compared to 42% who said the same about Trump and 16% who said neither.

Voters also generally gave the economy under Trump higher marks than the current state of the economy.

In Michigan, 38% gave the current economy high marks compared to 62% who said the same about the economy under Trump. In Pennsylvania, 38% were positive about the current economy compared to 61% under Trump. And in Wisconsin, 42% were positive about the present conditions, compared to 62% under Trump, per the poll.

On abortion, 13% were enthusiastic about the overturn of Roe v. Wade, compared to 24% satisfied, 23% dissatisfied, and 40% angry.

The CBS News/YouGov poll sampled 1,287 votes in Michigan with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points, 1,306 in Pennsylvania with a MOE of 3.1 percentage points, and 1,245 in Wisconsin with a MOE of 3.2 percentage points.

The matchups in the new batch of CBS polling hews closely to the RealClear Politics aggregate which has Trump outpolling Biden by 1.9 percentage points in Wisconsin and 2.5 percentage points in Michigan — by training the current president by 0.1 percentage points in Pennsylvania.***

Democracy means Hillary would have won 2016 due to the “popular vote”. That’s why dems don’t like the electoral college.

It’s representative republic, if you can keep it ma’am.

Regardless, the dems/msm have uttered “our democracy” a gazillion times in the past several years but they mean something else. Just like “women’s reproductive health”(killing unborn babies) or “gender affirming care”(chopping off the penises and boobs of 12 year olds)

I’m not using their twisted evil words.

The language is changing every day. The word "democracy" is irrelevant anyway because it is my belief that 2016 was the last time we had a fair election where the Democrats couldn't cheat their way to victory.

Hope I'm wrong but I doubt it.

Yes. But a tie also means that in the General, Biden will win (by any means necessary, like 2020).

Regardless of what we “think” this means, it certainly means trouble for conservatives. Those are states Trump needs to be elected.

Nope. They cheated in 2016 too, just not hard enough.

Because of its mindless, desperate messaging, the Biden gang is risking losing Michigan. How will the Muslims vote in November? Things could change between then and now, but even rabid lefty Slate is worried:

Are Arabs in the state really prepared to hand the presidency back to Donald Trump? In a word: yes.

and also, RCP shows Trump ahead in every single one of those “TOSS UP” states, giving him well over 300 electoral votes.
