Yes, there’s a world of difference.
Terrorism is inflicting chaos, anarchy, and terror though destruction, torture, and murder for the sake of it.
I learned at Columbia four decades ago that the point of terrorism is to get authorities to either overreact or under-react. if authorities overreact—then they prove the terrorist’s point—that the authorities are fascists.(and therefor deserving of being taken down) but if they under-react—then the authorities are weak. (and therefor deserving of being taken down.)
