I learned at Columbia four decades ago that the point of terrorism is to get authorities to either overreact or under-react. if authorities overreact—then they prove the terrorist’s point—that the authorities are fascists.(and therefor deserving of being taken down) but if they under-react—then the authorities are weak. (and therefor deserving of being taken down.)

In Seattle, after the BLM crap that they let go on, “de-policing” became public policy. And now everyone wonders why crime has increased and they can’t hire enough cops.
Although things are starting to change with a new mayor and city council that has pushed things to the right just slightly.
