Former President Trump warned of the consequences of losing his presidential immunity argument, saying that if he loses that protection, so will "crooked" President Joe Biden. >

The former president and presumptive Republican presidential nominee argued that presidential immunity is essential to the proper functioning of the presidency in a Friday post to his Truth Social account.

"Without presidential immunity, it would be impossible for a president to properly function, putting the United States of America in great and everlasting danger!" he posted, in all capital letters. "If they take away my presidential immunity, they take away crooked Joe Biden’s presidential immunity."

Hoist by their own petard petard!!! I mentioned this very possibility in one or more posts here several months ago, but nothing seemed to come of it. Now Trump is doing exactly what he ought to do because Clinton and Obama have old homicides kicking around in the records of their presidencies and Joe Biden, whether he is booted out of the presidency now or gets to serve another four years, will be exposed to a host of prosecutions for crimes, including bribery and treason, that arose from his deliberate destruction of the immigration system. The only thing that protects any of those three scoundrels is post-presidential immunity for presidential acts for which they were neither impeached nor impeached and acquitted. This argument is going to give SCOTUS a serious conundrum. Indeed, it ought to give the same conundrum to DOJ.

It’s wishful thinking there. Joe, determined plodder that he is, has methodically locked up all of the elected Democrat delegates. At this point the only logical ways for him to be dislodged are either a health crisis that prevents him absolutely from serving and campaigning or, pray God it does not happen, his assassination. Otherwise he somehow or other he has to be persuaded not to run. All of the indications go in the opposite direction. Most notably, none of the likely challengers has been even willing to get near challenging him and even Bobby Kennedy Jr., has dropped out of the Democratic primaries and is running as an independent.
