It’s wishful thinking there. Joe, determined plodder that he is, has methodically locked up all of the elected Democrat delegates. At this point the only logical ways for him to be dislodged are either a health crisis that prevents him absolutely from serving and campaigning or, pray God it does not happen, his assassination. Otherwise he somehow or other he has to be persuaded not to run. All of the indications go in the opposite direction. Most notably, none of the likely challengers has been even willing to get near challenging him and even Bobby Kennedy Jr., has dropped out of the Democratic primaries and is running as an independent.

And I’m sure the left is more than capable of arranging either one (or both simultaneously).... if they deem it the ‘right timing’. And... considering all the drugs they’re having to pump into the old coot, it could actually be a “natural” health crisis. Which would be ironic, to say the least.
