LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — UPDATE:
Two Kroger customers are being charged with battery after a disagreement led to a shooting inside the grocery store on Wednesday evening.
According to a report by the Little Rock Police Department, the incident began at 9 p.m when 48-year-old Yusuf Muhammad began harassing 43-year-old Shearee Jones in the checkout aisle.
Witnesses stated that Muhammad was visibly aggressive towards Jones and that she asked him to stop.
The report says that he continued after this and assaulted her, leaving an abrasion.
In response, Jones brandished a firearm and struck Muhammad with multiple rounds.
The report says that Muhammad left the Kroger, but returned, leading Jones to fire more shots at him.
Muhammad was taken to the hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.
Jones was taken to the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility.
The police report says that Muhammad is being charged with 3rd-degree battery while Jones is being charged with 1st-degree battery.

Little Rock police were dispatched to the scene of a shooting that took place outside of the Kroger store on 1100 Roosevelt Road late Wednesday night.
LRPD received a call after 9 p.m., which is just after the store closed for the night.
No details have been released on what caused the shooting or if anyone was wounded.
KATV will continue to follow this story and provide updates as investigations continue.

The only difference I read from this poorly written article from KATV.com, is if that happened in Pugetopolis, they would have not charged the aggressor Muhammad.
What a crazy world we live in. There’s a name for this insane way of thinking it’s called “Disparate Impact Analysis”, it’s part of the leftists “Intersectionality” that we are seeing implemented in earnest since the George Floyd race riots.
It has been around in academia and the mockingbird media for years, now after the riots the dangerous idiocy has filtered its way into most of America’s institutions like big law, big finance and big business. Think about what we’ve seen happen at Budweiser, United Airlines, Boeing and the list goes on and on.
Until we abandon that crazy philosophy and get back to the meritocracy that made this country great, we’ll see more of what we’re seeing in big blue urban centers…that kind of destructive thinking has obviously oozed out of the blue areas and now you find it in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Time to wake up the wokesters that their philosophy of lowering standards is fool’s folly because having high expectations are the key to achieving success in life. Remember the saying, “the soft bigotry of low expectations”, it has never been more truthful than when it was uttered in the ‘70’s or ‘80’s.
The way police and therefore “justice” works is that they don’t care about right or wrong, who is in danger...nothing. They just want the incident, and in this case anyone who might use this as a model for handling a similar situation, to STOP. Therefore, they’ll throw the book at the sane person. That’s because they can control what sane people do, but they can’t control what crazy aggressive people do. So, to make this and all future similar episodes do not escalate they’ll throw the book at the sane person. The crazy will skate.
Sometimes if you elect a republican sheriff and prosecutor, this doesn’t happen.
Muslim trumps all. Especially if they are here illegal (don’t want people to get the wrong idea about open borders)

Once acquitted, under double jeopardy, she can never again be tried for the same incident.

BTW it sounds like (obviously) Ms. Jones could use a different handgun, something other than what, a .25 auto or something else equally insufficient to the task at hand... and a bit more practice...
And this ain't for your benefit, Lee, but how about if we (all of us) knock off with the (Is it them...) stuff here? Frankly there are no BLM types in this story, no gang-bangers, but there does appear that there is a bad guy, from what information is provided.
Speaking for myself, Ms. Jones is a perfectly respectable American citizen out minding her own business UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE. She has the same right to self-defense as anyone else.

Might well be, let’s see how it plays out. A grand jury may no bill her, a jury my acquit her (especially one with a few women, or loved ones of women who have been assaulted).
They have workers who do nothing but fill orders for pick up. If you ever need to find anything look for one of them pushing their cart around. Nobody knows the stock better than they do because their whole job is one of constantly finding things.
