A Norfolk Southern train derailed along the Lehigh River in Lower Saucon Township on Saturday morning, sending part of two engines into the water.
The derailment happened in the area of Riverside Drive, across the river from Nagy’s Landing in Bethlehem Township, around 7:15 a.m. Two other trains were involved in the incident that led to the derailment, though only one derailed, officials said at an 11 a.m. news conference.
Photos from the scene showed the front edge of at least two engines sticking into the water, with multiple other cars off the track.
Norfolk Southern is investigating, and the cause of the derailment is unknown, officials said at the news conference.

This is sort of local to me.
I fear we will be seeing more disasters such as train wrecks, building fires, plane malfunctions and wild fires. All are not natural disasters. they are subject human direst involvement.

Yep! This is plain and simple terrorism! Too many trains derailing….something here is being covered up!
It is an intermodal, no tank cars on the train where the locomotives are taking a bath. However, it’s going to be an interesting process to get those motors out of the river.

Correct! I am 100% sure that the Texas wildfire was caused by suspicion …terrorism. This weather balloon crossing our nation without obstruction by our government are charting all the vulnerable areas like our top secret military bases electric grids our vulnerable farmland ; water system plants, oil refineries, and we’re not even talking about our nuclear areas. They already experimenting, taking down our cells for a couple of hours. Those balloons are being released by Chinese spies that are already here in the US. from locations that the government cannot detect because those balloons are being released from within our forest or perhaps far deep in deserts. The Chinese spies are having a heyday within our soil. They never thought the US would bend over so easily for them. Have I told you lately how I despise FJB! Bastard sold our nation out for an open border!

They're not just liquid; many are plastic pellets and serve small manufacturing plants with their own rail sidings.
I believe the other gentleman was correct, to a point. Intermodal trains generally do not have tanker cars in the line, but the story did say there were 3 different trains involved, so it sounds more like a switching station malfunction.
