Incredible moment Nathan Wade's divorce lawyer appears to mutter 'oh dang' when he's shown text message HE SENT saying his client started dating Fani Willis BEFORE she hired him to prosecute Trump
Daily Mail ^ | 2/27/24 | Sophie Mann

Nathan Wade's divorce attorney, Terrence Bradley, had a candid reaction to a piece of evidence he was presented with while on the stand Tuesday in the financial corruption trial of District Attorney Fani Willis.

Bradley, Wade's former divorce attorney and law partner, took the stand Tuesday, where he was shown a series of text messages in which he spoke about the timeline of Willis and Wade's relationship - one of the central issues of the trial.

A clip shows Bradley muttering to himself 'oh dang' as he reviews a series of texts in which he seemingly confirms that Willis and Wade were dating before Willis hired Wade to help prosecute the George case against former President Donald Trump.

One of Trump's attorneys, Steve Sadow questioned Bradley about a series of texts between himself and Ashleigh Merchant - an attorney for Trump co-defendant Michael Roman.

Sadow pointed to a text conversation in which Merchant wrote to Bradley:

'Like just date, don't hire him. Do you think it started before she hired him?' referring to Willis and Wade's romantic tryst and the timing of Wade's hiring.

It is at this point that Bradley whispered to himself 'dang.'

Sadow reads on that Bradley responded to Merchant's question via text: 'Absolutely.'

Bradley subsequently attempted to deny that he knew the actual timeline of Willis and Wade's relationship and his text had been mere 'speculation.'

Sadow then asked him 'why the heck' he would speculate about when they started dating in a text message.

'What you want the court to believe and you want the rest of us to believe, is that for some unknown reason, upon being asked a direct question about when the relationship started, you decided on your own to simply speculate and put it down in a text message...

I questioned the same thing. Bradley blurted it out but not one atty followed up about the 74k. Fani was directing money to Terrence to pay back her lovers debts. Why was Wade using Bradley’s credit card ?

Can some people who know about legal proceedings tell me if the judge is in the tank for Willis? It sure seems so. He's letting witnesses stall endlessly, letting their lawyers object to every dang question, and hamstringing Merchant. He tells her a line of questioning is taking too long and she should move on, but it's only taking so long because the witnesses (Bradley at the moment) are playing word games!

Look at this comparison of Fani Willis' and Judge Scott McAfee's career timelines. It looks like Willis' career stalled out in the District Attorney's office while McAfee was a rising star who was advancing rapidly through the judicial offices of the state.

I don't think he's in the tank; I believe that McAfee has the superior career and the confidence of the Governor. I think he needs to let the players expose themselves so he doesn't get the brunt of the backlash.

Remember, it looks like the players are appealing to a jury, but it's the judge alone who will be deciding, and he knows what's going on.

I was hoping you'd say something like that. "Give a man enough rope . . ." Still, as a layperson, he appears to be bending over backward to help the witnesses in their stupid act. (I can also understand now why trials take so long.) Then again, as you said, he may need to do what he's doing in order to say later that he was more than fair.

In a way, it's kind of like Internal Affairs and police officers.

Judges have to work with District Attorneys. DA's seek a judge's sign-off on search warrants, and seek to have evidence either suppressed or admitted. They want to be on good terms with judges.

When Fani Willis was disrupting the proceedings, demanding the SHE wasn't on trial, that President Trump ("all of them") are on trial, she was implicitly accusing the judge of letting this hearing about HER even happen.

She acted in the same way that police officers act when being investigated by Internal Affairs.

It's not a good look.

It's really not. I guess I'm so used to seeing corrupt judges in matters involving Trump. But thanks for your answers. I'm breathing a little easier now--and hoping for justice.

The Georgia state senate has subpoenaed the texts. Investigations of ethics violations and more.

Re why Atty Cross MIA. On the Meghan Kelly podcast she stated that the State is representing Willis. That if the state was aware of a lie they must inform the court or withdraw. Now she never mentioned Cross but it got me thinking. Let’s see if Cross shows up Friday.

How did Bradley ever get a law degree?

That's what I kept wondering while watching him the other day. Same question for Fani and Wade.

Law schools really seem to have lowered their standards over the past several years.
