Exactly, but there's more to it. See why here...

Shield laws and journalist’s privilege: The basics every reporter should know

CBS is acting for Deep State.

And SAG-Aftra damn well knows this. And will do nothing more than talk.

Her ‘product’ was her on-air reports. Now if her computer belonged to her or CBS (which we don’t know at this point) is a different question.

I suspect it is her own personal computer, else she wouldn’t much care one way or the other.

Her ‘sources’ are hers, not CBS’s......................

Her work product belongs to CBS

Not the identities of her sources.

I was reading and waiting for someone to say this.

Yes, her files belong to CBS.

They were produced while employed by CBS and any wages, salary or compensation paid to her while creating the files/records means CBS bought them as they were created.

CBS simply took possession of what they owned. I learned this the hard way at a job.

I’m not saying I agree with this, but it’s how it works. And the comments others made as to what or how the information might be used could be valid.

What was seized was not her “work product”, as you put it. The seizures contained sources and methods - the work product would be the final report/broadcast.

You are correct... especially if the terms of the employment contract state as such... even more so if a W2 pay check transacted.

Many know that as an employee, anything you produce or investigate, such as intellectual property, belongs to your employer, and a NDA stays in effect after your departure, subject to court action if you fail to hold to your agreement. While I personally would be curious to her findings, only newly written discovered findings could be reported. Nothing, covering experiences while employed by CBS.

Not her sources. Those are her personal property and CBS has absolutely no claim to that information.

And make sure you understand, the *ONLY* purpose of this was to get at that source information, so the Government KGB agents that ordered CBS to do this can plan retaliation against these people who dared convey information regarding how corrupt is Biden and his family.
