Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas (D) claims Missouri Gov. Mike Parson (R) used a racial “dog whistle” when he referred to the Chiefs parade shooting suspects as “thugs.”
The New York Post reported that Lucas made this assessment on KCUR’s Up to Date radio program.
Parson had reacted to Wednesday’s shooting by saying, “We can’t let some thugs just take over and ruin what happened.”
Lucas told KCUR, “I have respect for the governor. We get along well. I disagree strongly with how he would describe that situation. I certainly do think this was criminal activity. It was lawlessness, and I think that that’s troubling. But ‘thugs’ is a dog whistle in the most classic sense.”

Not always. There are rules of engagement regardless of race, legally speaking. Self defense justified, etc.
Otherwise the statement is.... “get those guns removed” and all other weapons, ie. police state run by....morons.

In other words, some Americans believe that any negative comment about black people is off limits.
Same for Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas. Any derogatory comments about black people is off limits...no matter what crimes those black people have committed.
This is the upshot of Affirmative Action and DEI. We now have a royalty in America based purely on skin color.
What people like Fani Willis and Mayor Quinton Lucas don't seem to realize is that there will be a backlash. When you encourage racial divisions, you encourage interracial war.

What is the term we should use that describes those members of a given population who commit violent, criminal acts? Or are you saying that there isn’t any such subset, but rather that all members do this?

Quinton Lucas sounds like a political thug.
Does not surprise me at all. Now everything is racists. From taking a crap to combing or brushing your hair. What is racists. It is what ever they want it to be. From tying your shoe to climbing a tree.

How can it be racist when the actual race of these wonderful, exemplary, children has been suppressed in public reporting? Is the real complaint that the governor stepped on the secret censorship rules?
What does the mayor call gang members who bring their semi-automatic firearms to a packed public event, then fire them theoretically at each other in some mindless personal dispute, but actually fire into the crowd indescriminately with zero regard for the lives of others? Thug is far too kind a term for them. How about mindless mass murderering idiots who deserve the death penalty immediately?
