King Charles III diagnosed with cancer, Buckingham Palace says

King Charles has been diagnosed with a form of cancer, says Buckingham Palace.

It is not prostate cancer, but was discovered during his recent treatment for an enlarged prostate.

The type of cancer has not been revealed, but according to a palace statement the King began "regular treatments" on Monday.

Buckingham Palace says the King "remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible".

Personally, I’m THRILLED he cheated on his wife. The only thing Diana ever did well in her life was making the people in nursing homes and hospitals feel good about themselves. Other than that, she was a clothes horse that acted like a mare in heat. Real love doesn’t come along often enough. Charles found a mate who will support him and the royal family for life. Good on him.

I do wish Camilla would wear a small hat of some kind when she goes out to meet the populace and shake hands. Seeing her flying fluff seems unfit for a crowned head in many of these hand-shaking occasions.

Yet when Elizabeth was alive, Camilla most annoyingly usually wore a competitive or more visible color and a bigger hat than the Queen.

That last one with Queen Elizabeth in white really irked me. It was at Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee (60 years on the throne, 2012) and you would think Camilla could have dialed it back so that the Queen could shine, and there would be no mistaking who was the top lady to spectators at a distance thronging the streets to see their Queen, but no. She even wore a taller, more visible crown that Charles at their coronation. Trashy.

Kate always strikes the right note with a hat when wearing a coat dress and heels, and no hat when wearing sports clothes. She also wears colors that give a nod to the national flags of diplomats from other countries, or the colors of UK organizations. I really hope she will be OK.
