So smart elsewhere, but so dumb and sheep-like when it comes to the global lie of “man-caused climate change”
Good point! I wonder how many “carbon credits” Space X needs for a launch!
Of course he does, good business decision.
Wonder if he will want space x launches exempt, a lot cheaper to give campaign contributions then pay that tax
Saw a program last night that was pushing solar vehicles which is apparently getting closer to a reality (evidently they are close to being able to get the car to get all its power from the sun- efidently they are about 70% of the way toward that goall).
The big lie however was that folks could drive while “charging their car for free”.
The taxes and regulations and fees that will go along with owning a solar car will be higher than gasoline prices. We are already seeing places like California up the price per kwh during peek charging times, AND charging a fine for folks who, charge their cars outside their garage out of,fear of fires. There will be all kinds of new taxes when it comes to solar powered vehicles as well-
Getting folks onto either electric or solar is solely for the purpose of creating new taxes and fees everytime we turn around. There will likely be things like, expensive fees to discard the massive battery banks from the cars, the solar panels, higher road taxes (taxes for every mile, driven for example)
A solar powered car IF PLAUSIBLE, which is truly free to charge” without any asinine taxes and fines and regulations added on, would be a great solution IF all the kinks are worked out and they can still charge on cloudy days, charge while driving, fix the rediculous tire problem where tires apparently only last around 7000 miles for whatever reason, won’t destroy the planet mining for the elements needed like, mining for electric vehicle minerals does, etc. But you just know that they aren’t pushing for such things because it will help the owners, but rather because it’s a huge money making scheme for the makers and investors.
He can’t decide if he’s in or he’s out. 🙄
Base don all the SuperFund environmental cleanups sites and their costs, all electric vehicles should be taxed $100,000 for their pollution cleanup that is coming.
Left versus Right isn’t the problem the elites know a welfare state has to be funded but G-d forbid they pay corporate taxes or income taxes why not consumption taxes to finance the welfare state.
Consumption taxes like carbon taxes.
Canada has been dominated by the “Liberal Party” as in “Liberal on Capitalism”. Even Trudeau under pressure suggested that some banks pay 18 percent instead of 15 percent but he never implemented the idea.
In Canada people pay income, sales taxes, user fees to fund the welfare state their system of government.
No wonder in Canada they want to suicide people. Not enough revenue to fund the welfare state.
“...fix the rediculous tire problem where tires apparently only last around 7000 miles for whatever reason...”
The EVs are just so heavy, that they grind the rubber into the pavement at an amazing rate, shaving many thousands of miles off of tire life. Much harder rubber compounds might help, but a new material is probably needed, while not sacrificing ride quality.
He may believe a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds.
Hubris is a danger for those who have great intellect and can escape external restrictions and avoid needing to defend their conclusions by virtue of wealth and power.
Thanks for the info- I was sure I had seen a headline about it, but couldn’t recount any specifics because I hadn’t read the article.
It is,pretty amazing thougn what can be accomplished with different constructions of rubber and other materials. The tire industry has come a long way since the early. Days for sure.
Elon Musk already makes BILLIONS with the carbon scam.
More likely it has to do with Elon getting screwed out of his $55 billion Tesla payout.
how many “carbon credits” Space X needs for a launch!

None. But you can join the Sierra Club’s lawsuit to shut down the Boca Chic site.

The ridiculous tire problem is caused by the ridiculous weight of the batteries.
The ridiculous batteries still do not work in ridiculously cold temperatures.
Musk has been saying this for quite a few years, at least nine.
We can’t say we weren’t warned.
I’d give him credit on X for not changing his tune, but I’m still banned on his platform.
LOL
Musk is a QWEF’er all the way. Don’t trust him. He has more red flags than the Chinese military. Everything he’s into is lock step with the WEF. People need to see him for who he is. If he says one thing but supports the enemy in so many other ways, don’t kid yourself about his intentions. He’s playing you.
elon is getting roasted on X for the video included in his twet... i take it with a grain of salt
Tesla raked in billions selling carbon credits. That kept the company alive before they ever made the first penny selling cars. It’s a scam, they know it’s a scam, and they are still doing it. Musk is a con artist.

The falcon 9 puts out about the same amount of carbon as a single trans Atlantic flight would. So the carbon tax would be virtually identical in cost under a by the tonne pricing. There are scientists who have proven you could get co2 from the oceans at 35 euro per tonne. Why the oceans because they hold 150 times the carbon of the air by density so it’s immensely easier to degas seawater than to capture 400ppm out of the air. Take that co2 add in H2 from nuclear power or off peak wind which Texas has in spades a lot of nights when the wind howls in West Texas all night and everyone is sleeping the wholesale power price goes negative at times in Texas ERCOT grid it has nowhere to go. The key is low cost electrolysis at $200 kg or less capex this allows for intermittent use at economical viability for the cost of the H2 made. India’s richest man has a project to get electrolysis under $200 kg he will meet that goal for sure and use seawater to boot no need for fresh water then and you get co2 as a byproduct since the energy to make H+ and OH- already turns the seawater basic on one side and acidic on the other. Co2 comes out of solution in a basic environment the U.S. Navy is already using that very effect to make H2 and co2 directly from seawater than using WWII FT synthesis turn those gasses into jet fuel cool stuff.
What’s the point Elon plans to use the same process to make CH4 aka methane for his starship rockets using Gulf Coast water and electricity from renewables his starship rockets will be carbon neutral at worse and with co2 capture in excess of what makes the memethane carbon negative. Remember it takes one carbon and four hydrogen to make methane. He needs the synthetic methane tech on Mars where they plan to take Martian “air” which is 90% co2 and ice melted to water to make methane to fuel the rockets there so he has to have synthetic methane tech why not appease the greens in the process. It’s greenwashing and trolling at its finest.
