Tesla CEO and X/Twitter owner Elon Musk recently reiterated his belief in the need for carbon taxes, backing up the World Economic Forum’s recent call for a “globally coordinated system of carbon taxes.”
In a recent tweet, Tesla owner Elon Musk called for the introduction of carbon taxes, reiterating recent calls for a “global coordinated system of carbon taxes” by the WEF.
Breitbart News reporter Kurt Zindulka recently reported on the antics of the WEF:
During a panel discussion on the “Global Economic Outlook” on Friday during the annual WEF meeting in the Swiss ski resort town of Davos, Al-Jadaan argued that in order to solve the supposed climate crisis, a global carbon tax will be required.
“There is no realistic solution to the climate transition that does not involve a globally coordinated system of carbon taxes,” the Saudi politician said.
…
“What we need is a system of carbon taxes coupled with subsidies for developing households and a stream of funding for the developing world, to allow them to engage in investments and mitigations and adaption that allows them to keep growing. And that’s a real opportunity,” Al-Jadaan continued.
“It’s a fair solution and it’s the only realistic solution, and we can’t keep ducking it,” he concluded.

Musk is losing credibility daily. Every once in awhile he says something that makes sense.
Elon is a very bright very gifted fool. His reality testing is dwarfed by his adoption of liberal propaganda.
This is no surprise, he was always a greenie, he just happend to be a big free speach advocate and appears to gelieve in people. Still he is at his core a humanist.
self serving
I have noticed that most people talk through their wallets. He sells electric cars and I expect this position, as dishonest as it is.
I do expect, also, that there would be absolutely no EV market and no Musk involvement without the government crony capitalism backing of this dishonest “movement”.
Time to tax the shite out of those carbon-spewing rockets of his.
This is middle class elimination. The poor won’t have to pay it, the wealthy will pay to keep their lifestyle. Of course he is for it. The reality of EVs is becoming a problem. He founded his empire on tax “ credits” and subsidies. In other words the working class funded it.
The tax scheme is against workers. We will pay it for the poor and wealthy will continue as usual.
So Musk isn't so green -- he wants people to keep using oil and coal and such as long as they have to buy Tesla carbon credits for it.
Not a problem, IF, we also include the carbon spent mining iron/aluminum/lithium/cobalt minerals, transporting same, refining same, transporting refined sheets to manufacturing, and ALL the “dirty” electricity used in manufacturing the batteries and cars and operations in all of Musk’s worldwide operations. Once we know Musk’s carbon footprint, we can go after mine.
The guy runs an EV company. Of course he wants a carbon tax.
Any tax is.
Do you think he wants to sell more Tesla pieces of crap ?
> He sells electric cars and I expect this position, as dishonest as it is. <
Musk is not stupid. He also needs to keep the big-government liberals off his back. So he throws them a bone now and again.
A Carbon Tax on a Carbon based planet is INSANITY
Kinda in his defense, a carbon tax would greatly aid his electric vehicle business. So being intellectually hypocritical while being a CEO is kinda understandable.
If evil.
Of course he’s going to. He owns and leads an electric car manufacturer.
So Musk isn't so green -- he wants people to keep using oil and coal and such as long as they have to buy Tesla carbon credits for it.
This, yes. Musk is a conman and a pretty clever one. He LARPs as a "libertarian" savior of sorts, but as soon as he gets for himself what he's looking for out of the elites, he'll enthusiastically sell the common man into the chains he's been paid to forge.
Agree completely. They never do a full accounting. They, including Musk, believe simplistically that all the environmental impact is in what comes out of the tailpipe.
It will end up as another Green Scam Slush-fund
