Such a law needs to decide to what degree will property owners be held liable if one of these so called Day Care Centers does something stupid and or dangerous?

I seem to remember a while back the libs passed a law that forbade landlords from asking about a prospective tenant's conviction history.

Okay. I get that if someone did time and they're out trying to rebuild their lives they shouldn't be denied housing because of that.

On the other hand, what if the person is a pedo? Rapist? Muderder? And you rent him a property and he commits those crimes again. Will the landlord be held responsible if he commits those crimes on the property because the landlord "should have known?"

If private ownership is just too expensive because of insurance, taxes, and hence rents/ownership skyrocketing, I guess the government will be required to own all housing, eh. Well, except for the elites...

The democrats relish every opportunity to eliminate private property without ever admitting it.

Little by little they are turning this country into the marxist hellhole they long for.

I owned a house in the Mira Mesa area of San Diego from 1983 to Feb 2001. The house next door (west) had multiple tenants over that time frame. The last one was from Mexico. She turned the house into a daycare facility that operated from 6 AM to 9 PM M-F. Her own ill-behaved offspring damaged two of my vehicles and she dodged responsibility for the damage. The trash cans filled with soiled diapers rapidly and being just east with a prevailing west wind blew the stench my direction often.

I had a significant investment in my home. Recently re-roofed with a top quality sintered stone on steel to protect against fire from flying embers from brush fires. I had intended to retire in that house. No way with that tenant next door. I sold and purchased a nicer house in Pocatello, ID. It was good to get away from the insanity of the CA population and the idiots they elect.

I purchased the place for $105k in August 1983. Sold for $245k in 2001. The house sold for $485k in Jan 2014 after some upgrades. Zillow estimates a current market value of $909k.

well this is weird, because this is a state law, not just a law in san diego.
