If they went on strike permanently it would be a big win for average citizens in CA—and the country.

Replace them with AI—you don’t need humans to spew anti-white hate and Deep State talking points.

Doesn’t sound too bad to me. That’s 30,000 communist propagandists not on the job.

The union's four demands include more reasonable workloads, such as smaller class sizes, health additions like gender-neutral bathrooms and lactation centers, a semester of paid leave for new families, and a 12% wage increase for all faculty.

To heck with them. Fire ‘em all. Shut it down or hire normal people.

According to the KTVU report, this will include coaches. A lot of them at CSU teach classes in addition to their athletic function.

It will be interesting to see if the athletic coaches honor the picket line.

Thank goodness, I hope they don’t work for the rest of the year.

If the headline numbers are correct that equals roughly 1,304 faculty members per university. Just fire all of them and make all the courses available on-line for a fraction of the cost of going to the brick and mortar schools.

“Lactation center sounds like a place where women ...”

C’mon man — we’re talking California universities. Half the cows in the barn will be “Men”.

This is all kabuki theater.

“Management” (ultimately the Gavin Newsom clique) is of the same mind-set as the teachers union - they’ll fart around at the negotiating table for a while, give press releases, make statements and such, but in the end the state will provide most but not all of what the union wants, the state and the teachers will slap each other on the back for how “committed they are to higher education in California”, the teachers will yawn after their little unscheduled vacation (with no loss in pay of course), and students will scarf up the crap they’ve been fed as before, just at a higher cost.

However their opportunities for lactation will be improved, so there’s that.

It will be the greatest improvement in higher education in California history.

Anyone who can teach the constitution gets to keep on. Those spewing communism in any form get to walk.

Being realistic here. Exactly what is the loss to ‘education’
if these leftist twits actually do strike? Less pollution and brainwashing of our young adults’ mush minds?

The union wants 12% and CSU says it can only afford 5%. It’s all very simple, if CSU has any balls.

Grant the 12%, but to make up for the budget shortfall, lay off 7% of the workforce. Make the union pick who will be laid off.

“I guess breastfeeding is no longer politically correct. Lactation center sounds like a place where women are lined up like dairy cows”

You gotta give it to them...

It’s amazing how quickly they (leftists) pervert and manipulate the language to advance their causes. And it’s done in such an insidious and subliminal way that it quickly becomes accepted.

Orwell would be proud!

Lactation center sounds like a place where women are lined up like dairy cows.

They need lactation centers like these...

The Rotolactor

I remember visiting this place when I was a kid. They can service 50 women in 12-1/2 minutes so they can get right back to work quickly.
