DES MOINES, Iowa, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he knows who he wants for his running mate in the 2024 race for president and that his commitment to the NATO alliance will depend on how Europeans treat the United States.

The frontrunner for the Republican nomination, Trump was asked by anchors at a live Fox News town hall who was under consideration for vice president on his ticket.

"I can't tell you that really. I mean I know who it's going to be," Trump told the gathering of Republican voters in Des Moines, Iowa, five days before that Midwestern state's first-in-the-country nominating context.

Tulsi would be great as SOS because she and DJT think alike on things Foreign. Not as VP because their domestic views. I think it will be Gov Noem of SD

That seems like a strong team. Maybe Elise as chief of staff.

Reuters?

Now. Let's be serious. Will he pick Bill Barr for AG? Or a nice guy from Alabama? Who? Who will he pick for AG?

At this point it is all conjecture and anyone's guess. Trump probably has a very short list but then it also comes down to whether a person is interested.

My concern is that there is no one on the Republican side that will really do much to move Independents and those Dem-lite folks toward Trump. And Trump will need to move that needle as much as possible.

Even on proposed cabinet announcements, he needs to eally think outside of the box.

well, as reptilians go-— Pompeo is a snake in the grass. I’ll take the pretty little chameleon.

Didn’t Pompeo demonstrate great loyalty to Trump by NOT running against him?
He’s a highly qualified man.
Not some schitzy chick

I can’t think of anyone, no one better. Any other name that comes to mind in my mind will part of the swamp, not loyal to Trump, etc.

Carson can change this white supremacy nonsense moniker that they’ve put on Trump immediately.

He can be a great ambassador for minorities.

Globally, he’d be great.

I can think of a thousand other things, but you get my message.
