Kerry: US joining no-coal, clean power pledge

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — The United States committed to the idea of phasing out coal power plants, joining 56 other nations in kicking the coal habit that’s a huge factor in global warming.
U.S. Special Envoy John Kerry announced over the weekend that America was joining the Powering Past Coal Alliance, which means the Biden Administration commits to building no new coal plants and phasing out existing plants. No date was given for when the existing plants would have to go, but other Biden regulatory actions and international commitments already in the works had meant no coal by 2035.

No of these WEF’ers can say how they’re going to achieve the electrical service demands of an all electric society. Because they’re not. They’ll ration for control. Nobody ever seems to wonder about this aspect. They hate coal, nuclear, and oil.

I cannot seem to lay my finger on the treaty, presented to and ratified by the US Senate, that allows the executive branch of government to make such a promise.

I didn't realize a position as exalted as special presidential envoy for climate could make such commitments. Didn't the Senate used to have a say in this sort of thing?
