More than half of American voters -- 52% -- say they or someone in their household owns a gun, per the latest NBC News national poll.
That's the highest share of voters who say that they or someone in their household owns a gun in the history of the NBC News poll, on a question dating back to 1999.
In 2019, 46% of Americans said that they or someone in their household owned a gun, per an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. And in February 2013, that share was 42%.
"In the last ten years, we've grown [10 points] in gun ownership. That's a very stunning number," said Micah Roberts of Public Opinion Strategies, a Republican polling firm that co-conducted the poll with members of the Democratic polling firm Hart Research.

Yet another example that elected democrats are the very best firearms sales people. Happens every time. If the democrats want to slow down gun sales, then start voting republican.

Probably more than 52%. How much more is unclear. One study indicated the "shy gun owners", those who do not want to admit to owning a gun, could be as many as 33% of the population.
In 1941 Yamamoto warned Japanese high command of a rifle behind every blade of grass in America, to dissuade invasion of the west coast due to its futility.
Its sad today we would have to issue that warning to our own governments at every level.
2,000,000 guns sold last month and over 1.000.000 sold per month for the last 50 months. American civilians are the largest army in the world.

So the concealed carry laws have changed in NY State after a court case got the law changed from MAY Issue to SHALL issue. NY requires a class which a friend went to over the weekend.
Said there were 12 or 13 people in the class. He, one woman and the rest were Israeli’s that had obtained US citizenship and were living on Long Island.

Agree. It’s none of their damned business what I own. And why would I want the MSM to know I owned weapons, anyway? What is the point?
I could be a part of that statistic if it weren’t for my unfortunate kayaking incident.
I used to own a few guns but a tragic boating accident put them in the Tennessee River. Now I just eat tofu and work on my manbun
My thoughts too - it strikes me as doing a “soft registration” by answering in the affirmative...of course, most of us have already done such on various social media sites - and we know when we give the info for the FBI check to purchase handguns, those are all recorded instead of being disposed of like they claim - same for carry permits - there has to be records of that ... IOW, they know who most gun owners are.
