CNN legal analyst Elie Honig said Thursday on CNN’s “News Central” that Attorney Sidney Powell’s guilty plea in the Georgia election crimes case could be potentially “devastating for Donald Trump.” Partial transcript as follows: KATE BOLDUAN: Few people pushed it further than Sidney Powell. HONIG: Yeah, that’s right. It’s important to remember who Sidney Powell is, she’s one of Donald Trump’s closest loyalists. She’s somebody who Donald Trump has claimed he relied on her advice to proceed in his effort to try to steal this election. This is a major breakthrough for prosecutors, potentially a devastating development for Donald Trump, because what’s going to happen now is Sidney Powell is going to testify for prosecutors in Georgia, and presumably she’ll also be prepared to testify for Jack Smith in his federal case in Washington, D.C. She’s not indicted in that case, but she’s listed as a coconspirator in that case. She’s going to be able to provide insider information that could be really devastating towards Donald Trump.

Maybe. But there’s no way that Powell agreeing to testify against Trump’s inner circle is a positive for President Trump.
Powell was the first to point out that the 2020 election was “stolen by many means”

They will all plead to misdemeanors and a year suspension on their law license.

Cohen got disbarred. Powell has not.

Cohen was hardly a lawyer ... I use several lawyers by practice area ... and I had a Cohen type to take responsibility for minor general matters ... Cohen is a convicted criminal and should be SNL material at this point ...

This is a win/win for both sides.
I think they would think long and hard about putting Sydney Powell on the witness stand against any of those charged.
While they may get Sidney Powell, Trump’s defense may argue he was only repeating the legal claims made by Powell. That may work if Powell cannot prove she was only following commands from Trump.
However, there is ample evidence of rampant cheating through mail-in ballots that, because of Covid, were allowed in mass and without proper signature verification and chain of custody requirements.
The Ruby Freeman video in Atlanta was conclusive proof of voter fraud.

Trump has a unique knack for bringing in people who are completely disloyal to him.

I had to have a month of detention and write a letter of apology to the head Nun of our school for mooning the Sisters as they crossed the RR tracks to go to Mass. I don’t know how they knew it was me as the only face they saw was my behind and I ran away as quick as I could. That was nothing compared to my Dad’s punishment!
Nobody knows what Powell will testify to.
