NASHVILLE – A court filing made by The Covenant School’s legal team on Monday seeks to intervene in ongoing lawsuits that demand the public release of shooter Audrey Hale‘s writings.
The National Police Association (NPA) and Tennessee Firearms Association (TFA) have separately filed suits against the city with the same objective.
These lawsuits emerged as the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) was in the process of reviewing the writings, referred to as a manifesto, to determine their potential for public disclosure.
The school argues that the release of the information “could pose security and safety risks for the school, its staff, and students.”
The motion further asserts that the requested records in the lawsuits may contain sensitive information owned by the school, such as facility schematics and confidential data of employees and students.
“The outcome of this case could hinder our ability to protect our interests and the privacy of our employees and students,” states the motion.

I’m guessing the manifesto names others that should be targeted. This would at least make some sense. Maybe they could redact some of it but maybe it isn’t very long?

I suspect that is what the judge will do... redact it, names etc. If it is redacted, people will even more suspect a cover-up. There is very little trust left...
Yeah...like the ‘concern’ they had for the staff when that freak was on the loose. The cover up is getting deeper.
They are lying by omission.
One might reasonably conclude that the killer left several journals and detailed project plans for assaults on several targets with specific names of people to be killed. Indeed, this has already been reported. Of course, those people who were named are not going to want to have their names disclosed. Neither do the schools want the public to be reminded of their status as targets.
There is a legitimate fear of copycats who might try to get a better score the next time.
However, the explanation sounds like a pretext for concealing the motivations of the killer and the identity of the people who encouraged and advised her with her project plans.
She does not fit "The Narrative" and her written materials very likely trace back to "Non-Profit Organizations, Confidential Informants, or employed Agents of the Federal government.
There probably is no "manifesto" as such, unless the Feds wrote one as a cover story.
I’m speaking from memory but I recall one description went: ‘journals, diaries and writings that constitute a manifesto’ ... words of that nature that seemed to imply it wasn’t a single writing but a collection.

The average person won’t remember what event the Manifesto is tied to, the media will spin it as “mental illness” and it’s covered on Conservative sites only.
That’s why they hide the facts.
I am starting to think someone is trying to hide something from the public.
This raises more questions than it answers.

Well if they aren’t children I assume you will have them go to war, get credit cards, marry without parental permission, transport hazardous waste, vote, hold public office, be in adult prisons, buy and carry arms, smoke, arrange whatever medical procedure they like, drink alcohol, and sign contracts ranging from credit card to mortgage to corporate partnerships.
Or? Are they just adult enough to consent to sex but nothing else?
All it takes is one great hacker to get it out there.
That was explicitly stated in some accounts. "Journals, diaries, and detailed project plans for 3-4 terrorist attacks." "Composed over a period of several months".
The journals and diaries were reportedly filled with hateful rants against children, women, "normals", and a number of specific people. Those writings supposedly reveal a violent, unstable woman who identified as a "transgender male". Does not make a good case for tolerating transgender people, especially female-to-male transitions.
The testosterone supplements make them particularly susceptible to violent mentality. It is not good for biological women to take them. Think "that time of the month" plus "body builder 'roid rage". Bad things are going to happen.
The detailed project plans supposedly contain indications that somebody else may have written them or provided editorial advice. And marginal notes supposedly credit the assistance or track back to the original sources.
If that is true, it explains the most important reason why authorities do not want to release the "manifesto". No number of redactions other than blank pages would conceal what they do not want us to know.
Seems like personally identifiable information could be redacted. What are they actually worried about?
