Cops kept an apartment just outside the township line for underage parties and group events. Guidance counselor with a van who gave neighborhood parking tours. A lady guidance counselor that spent Saturday nights at the local Holiday Inn giving hand jobs to students in the hot-tub. (Yuck).

Sixteen and seventeen year old men and women are not children. Everyone was searching for mysteries, without any clues, searching for our night moves.....

We just had the good manners to keep it on the down low. No cell phones either.

Well if they aren’t children I assume you will have them go to war, get credit cards, marry without parental permission, transport hazardous waste, vote, hold public office, be in adult prisons, buy and carry arms, smoke, arrange whatever medical procedure they like, drink alcohol, and sign contracts ranging from credit card to mortgage to corporate partnerships.

Or? Are they just adult enough to consent to sex but nothing else?
