A jury has found that Donald Trump sexually abused E. Jean Carroll.
The panel of six men and three women also found that Trump injured advice columnist Carroll in a Manhattan Bergdorf Goodman dressing room and defamed her, ordering the former President to pay her $5million in damages.
Trump has been accused of sexual misconduct or assault by more than two dozen women, but this has so far been the only case to end up before a jury.
Carroll, 79, sued for battery under the Adult Survivors Act, a law passed in New York that allowed a one year window for sexual assault claims normally outside of the statute of limitations.
Her claim for defamation was based on statements made by Trump, 76, when he was President and posts to Truth Social, his own social network in which he called her a liar.
Over two weeks the jury heard emotional testimony from three accusers and two of Carroll's friends, among other witnesses, while Trump himself was a no show.

He can’t keep his mouth shut. He’s his own worst enemy.
This being said, the jury was out to get him no matter what the evidence. And there wasn’t any. Carroll’s story is beyond incredulous.
This is a civil case. He’s not a “legally convicted” anything.
This old hag couldn’t even provide a date specific or even a year. She can’t remember because if she did, that would allow Trump to produce travel or business records showing he was not in NYC at the time of the alleged “incident”. He had no way to mount a defense because his ability to provide an alibi was disabled by her inability to recall the date. This should have been thrown out on that alone.
We demand honesty and when Trump says it like it is, you go squishy!

So the jury found that Trump did not rape her, but that he defamed her for calling her a lying ugly woman for saying he did rape her.
In what judicial world does that make sense?
Trump should now sue her for lying. A jury has found that she did by saying he raped her, so he should have a slam dunk case.
If anyone else other than Trump is on the ballot, I will write him in.

Ridiculous! Trump can’t get an unbiased jury in ultra-Lib NYC. This is he said, she said, from 30+ years ago. There used to be a statute of limitations on such accusations. Liberal states got rid of them. A bonanza for female gold diggers.
WRONG. He is not convicted of anything ! This was a civil trial.
Her word isn’t even reliable because she can’t even remember what year. The Federal DOJ is broken with this Jack Smith nonsense and covering for Biden, and so is the Manhattan DA and judicial system on that local level. I can’t think of any reason anyone other than a Leftist would live in NYC or even all of New York.

The Judge ruled the people financing the Lawsuit (they also financed Fusion GPS and the fake Dossier) was not relevant and he didn’t allow it in.

How does a jury believe she is lying about the rape but believe her about the rest? Sounds like it is a get Trump verdict to me.

I read elsewhere the judge told the jury that an unwanted kiss is sexual abuse. So the fix was in.
NYC is twisting all laws around like a tornado.
