FOX News’ Hannity embraces (figuratively) RFK, Jr.

In a lengthy, heavily-promoted live interview on FOX News’ Hannity Monday evening, Democrat candidate for president Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. made the case for his challenge to President Biden. He also made news by restating his recent contention that the CIA was complicit in the assassination of his uncle, President John F. Kennedy, in Dallas on November 22, 1963.

Video of the interview is here.

It was at least the third live interview that Kennedy has given to FOX News since he declared his candidacy on April 19, 2024. Previously, Kennedy appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight on April 19 (video here) and in a lengthy, commercial-free chat with Neal Cavuto on Saturday, April 22 (video here).

The interview with Sean Hannity got off to a cordial start. From the FOX News transcript of the segment provided to this author:

SEAN HANNITY, FOX NEWS HOST:  Robert Kennedy Jr. joins us now. Great to have you back, sir. How are you?

ROBERT KENNEDY JR., PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE:  How are you, Sean? It's good to be back. . .

Hannity immediately asked Kennedy “what is the evidence?” to support his recent claim that the CIA was involved in JFK’s assassination.

KENNEDY:  Well, you know, there’s millions of pages of documents -- of CIA documents, of transcripts, and recorded conversations from the Cuban embassy in Mexico City from -- I mean, it’s -- to summarize the evidence, as I said in that -- in that podcast, there are confessions of people who were directly involved in the plot or involved in the planning of the plot, who were peripheral to the plot. There’s a 60-year cover-up.

Here's what RFK Jr. Claims about his uncle:

The Warren Commission was run by Allen Dulles who was a head of the CIA that my uncle fired, and then insinuated himself onto the Warren Commission, and essentially ran the Warren Commission and kept this evidence from the Warren commissioners.

By the way, when Congress, 10 years later, investigated the crime with much more evidence than the Warren Commission had at its disposal, Congress found that, yeah, it was a plot, it was a conspiracy. There were multiple people involved and most the people in that investigation believe that it was the CIA that was behind it, because the evidence was so overwhelming to them.

First question in my mind, given Fox' hijinks for at least since 2020 is "what are they playing at?"

But one of the posts made an interesting observation:

"Charles Tate
FNC has been given the task of controlling RFK, Jr. With Tucker gone, it is inane question time to try to ridicule Kennedy and divide him from the support of the hypnotized Democrats. The Uniparty terror is that he will break the hypnosis they pay so much to maintain and then Democrats may awaken from their insane terrorized state and start to realize that we are NOT in a country with systemic racism, there are no "white supremacists" the election WS stolen, and social media IS the creation of the Deep State."

Anything we can do to help RFK Jr. to grow stronger in his race against Biden is a good thing. Fomenting division among the Dems may hurt them in 2024.

The Dems have used the same strategy against conservatives/Republicans for ages. Just look at the pages of Free Republic... trolls everywhere, including this thread.

The Kennedy clan from the 1960’s would not be Democrats today, for sure.
We have learned that the President makes little difference as to how this country is run. The unelected bureaucrats ignore the people and do what they want anyway.

There’s been a lot of controversy over the years about the Kennedy assassination.

I heard that there are secret files, which are not to be released publicly for decades into the future, presumably after everyone involved has passed away.

If any of us live long enough maybe we will learn the truth.

I’ve heard there are similar files regarding the Martin Luther King assassination. There too it seems that there’s an untold story that we , the general public , have never been told.

On the other hand, Kennedy is a part of the world of the federalized establishment, even if he is on the edge. He has relationships with many of the officials in the bureaucracies who are fed up with political appointees. While conservatives may not appreciate his involvement in cleaning up the Hudson River or farm workers unions, these people do. He walks the talk, unlike Biden or even Clinton.

I noted in a long interview with a podcaster recently, Kennedy was not willing to criticize these groups: teachers unions, Biden’s foreign bribery scandal, the climate change crowd or the transgender movement. That tells me who he thinks he can win over to his side.

They’d embrace AOC if she would primary Biden.

RE: So why didn’t Trump fully release all JFK info?

He had more important things to attend to ( e.g., the Russia hoax, impeachment, foreign policy, the debt ceiling, the economy, Covid, the BLM riots, illegal immigration, etc. ) than worry about something that occured 60 years ago.

Remind him to do it in his second term.

RE: He’s embracing the splitting of the Dem ticket.

Of course. Hannity even said so in his radio program.

Presidents do make a difference because they hold the power of the veto over legislation.

His criticisms have been saved for Neocons and former corporate lobbyists (Wall Street People) as far as I can tell.
