The Kennedy clan from the 1960’s would not be Democrats today, for sure.
We have learned that the President makes little difference as to how this country is run. The unelected bureaucrats ignore the people and do what they want anyway.

On the other hand, Kennedy is a part of the world of the federalized establishment, even if he is on the edge. He has relationships with many of the officials in the bureaucracies who are fed up with political appointees. While conservatives may not appreciate his involvement in cleaning up the Hudson River or farm workers unions, these people do. He walks the talk, unlike Biden or even Clinton.

I noted in a long interview with a podcaster recently, Kennedy was not willing to criticize these groups: teachers unions, Biden’s foreign bribery scandal, the climate change crowd or the transgender movement. That tells me who he thinks he can win over to his side.

Presidents do make a difference because they hold the power of the veto over legislation.

“”The Kennedy clan from the 1960’s would not be Democrats today, for sure.””

Yes they would, they created the 60s and Ted was an example of how they would grow to fit the party.

The Kennedys were liberal and as liberal as they could reveal for whatever their times would allow.

For example, JFK would be able to be openly pro-abortion later.
