Writing “childrens books” is a common way to launder graft for female politicians.
Everyone from Hillary and Chelsea Clinton to Kirsten Gillibrand to Liz Warren to state governors and mayors have done it.
Is the demand for children’s books written by politicians really that high? Have you ever bought one?
So when she says she’s writing a cook-book, she probably will, and we will know the purpose.

Two words that don’t go together: Harris and rigor. I can’t imagine anyone being the caliber of a cook to write a cookbook and never have had written a recipe. I’m on week three of learning to make a Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. (One per week). It’s pretty good, but it ain’t there yet. I have a main recipe with two variations written down and next week I’m trying a forth time. It will get there. Harris on the other hand won’t be able to write recipes the way she’s done everything else in her life: on her knees.
