This town is literally right out the gate of Fort Rucker, Army flight school. I know it well, it was an army pilot, and we will go out the Gate for lunch and that was the quickest place to grab it. Literally immediately after leaving the gate.

Now reporting... 12 hours later- that the shooting spiraled out of an argument on scene.
A grandmother reported that her daughter took her grandson and granddaughter to a teen’s Sweet 16 birthday party. The grandson (a local high school student-athlete) was killed and the daughter was shot but survived.
Some of the shooting victims were reported to be hospitalized locally, and others were transported (and flown) to surrounding hospitals, possibly due to the severity of their injuries requiring a higher-level critical care facility, and the local hospital was likely overwhelmed by the high casualty count. Some of the shooting victims were treated and released.
Nothing else is known or reported by the news or police.
