You will not be shocked at the news that people running for federal office have often “fudged” their resumes, pretending to have accomplished things or been places that they’ve never done or never been.
Voters, if they support that candidate, tend to shrug their shoulders and look the other way. But what should we do with Representative-elect George Santos of New York? Santos has lied about more than where he worked or where he went to school. George Santos has created an entirely new human being in such glorious and wondrous detail that it took five a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/19/nyregion/george-santos-ny-republicans.html" target="_blank">New York Times reporters spread out over two continents to unravel it.
Santos missed his calling. He easily could have been a spy 50 years ago, having created such a marvelous legend that he could have passed as a harmless American despite his real identity as a Soviet agent.
Santos ran for Congress in New York’s 3rd congressional district on Long Island. He ran as the “full embodiment of the American dream” according to the Times. Indeed, he said he was the son of Brazilian immigrants, which may be true, but about the rest of his resume, no one is really sure.
The Times says Santos “catapulted himself from a New York City public college to become a ‘seasoned Wall Street financier and investor’ with a family-owned real estate portfolio of 13 properties and an animal rescue charity that saved more than 2,500 dogs and cats.”
None of that is true. Baruch college, from which Santos says he graduated, has no record that he ever attended. The Wall Street firms for which he says he worked have no record of him, either. His animal rescue group was a scam.

My mother got her first job as a secretary after the last of us kids were old enough for grade school. She lied about her skills, experience, and education. She taught herself typing and shorthand in two weeks before starting. Thirty years later she was on the board of directors for that same company.
Tar and feathers. Lying about saving animals for your own gain is inexcusable. The other crap is pretty much the new normal in politics. Private industry however is a totally different standard today.
The Democrats are just upset that he out-lied them, and they’ve enlisted the NYT to drop a dime on him.
So when does Lizzy Warren get her five-NY-Times-reporters treatment and subsequent comeuppance? I’m guessing “never” is the correct answer.

Why muddy the waters with euphemisms like “fabulist”? Just say “liar.”

That little tidbit combined with the fact that this guy is openly gay tells me he is a closet Democrat put there by the DNC in collusion with the local Republican party.
Just one more glaring example that both parties are in collusion and don’t a damn about you or me.
So he’s a liar.

The libs want republicans to be outraged and demand that Santos step down. Then they only have four more republican seats to pick off to reclaim the House.
Don’t play into it.
Stop being part of the stupid party.
I don’t care if he never went to college, or if he doesn’t have thirteen real estate holdingd, or was a gay escort (just watch, this is going to be the next story that gets planted...) I don’t even care if he can’t read and made his money running a dog fighting ring. Don’t care. Neither should any of you.

In his statement today, Mr. Biden, who attended the Syracuse College of Law and graduated 76th in a class of 85, acknowledged: “I did not graduate in the top half of my class at law school and my recollection of this was inacurate.”
As for receiving three degrees, Mr. Biden said: “I graduated from the University of Delaware with a double major in history and political science. My reference to degrees at the Claremont event was intended to refer to these majors – I said ‘three’ and should have said ‘two.’” Mr. Biden received a single B.A. in history and political science.
”With regard to my being the outstanding student in the political science department,” the statement went on. “My name was put up for that award by David Ingersoll, who is still at the University of Delaware.”
In the Sunday interview, Mr. Biden said of his claim that he went to school on full academic scholarship: ”My recollection is – and I’d have to confirm this – but I don’t recall paying any money to go to law school.” Newsweek said Mr. Biden had gone to Syracuse ”on half scholarship based on financial need.”
In his statement today, Mr. Biden did not directly dispute this, but said he received a scholarship from the Syracuse University College of Law “based in part on academics” as well as a grant from the Higher Education Scholarship Fund of the state of Delaware. He said the law school “arranged for my first year’s room and board by placing me as an assitant resident adviser in the undergraduate school.”
As for the moot court competition, Mr. Biden said he had won such a competition, with a partner, in Kingston, Ontario, on Dec. 12, 1967.

The main difference btween then Senator Biden and now Congressman George Santos is Biden DID NOT GET AWAY WITH IT and it caused him his campaign ( Mike Dukakis eventually got the Democrat nomination ). George Santos got away with it and will officially be Congressman on January 2023 ( a SHAME ).

The House and the Senate write their own rules about blocking or evicting people from Congress.
You can be sure that every USA news organization is now checking his financial and romantic history.
If the Democrats can evict 4 GOP Congress Critters, they might be able to elect a new Speaker and block everything the GOP might try to do.
The Democrats do not have authority over the new House.
They deserve exclusion from any serious positions of authority or trust in our society.
But everybody already knows this.
