Trump Suggests ‘Termination’ of U.S. Constitution Allowable over 2020 Twitter Scandal [UPDATE: The author is spinning. Trump's actual words are now posted below.]

Former President Donald Trump suggested the “termination” of the United States Constitution could be allowable in response to the bombshell report that the Democrat Party colluded with Twitter to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election.

The former president made his observation via his Truth Social account on Saturday following journalist Matt Taibbi’s thorough report on Twitter’s internal communications during the 2020 elections at the behest of newly-minted CEO Elon Musk.

The author of the Breitbart article above is spinning (lying). Here's what Trump actually posted.

Wait till Kalipornia passes the slave reparation law and all the rest of the states get to pay for it.

President Trump himself was pushing $500 billion in reparations during his last year in office. He called it the "Platinum Plan" and rapper Ice Cube was running around pimping it out to black voters.

Did everyone forget this?

Of course, we're not allowed to remind people of this. I risk getting this post removed. Trump's "Platinum Plan" is supposed to be memory-holed.

“Horseshit! If Donald Trump has a heart attack tomorrow, it won’t spell the end of the USA!”

You are wrong, but you seem so sure.

Explain how America survives once they’ve eliminated Trump?

After all, “Only Donald Trump has so far dared to put his personal security and freedom on the line to denounce what D.C. has become, and only Trump has risked impeachment, indictment, and incarceration for fearlessly speaking the truth.”
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2022/11/return_of_the_great_maga_king.html

What is the scenario?

Does another Trump come along? (We’ve already got one)

Free speech is gone. Assemble and have your life destroyed. Jan 6. Twitter. Lose your job for private speech. I noticed you don’t use your real name on FR. None of us do, why is that?

Can’t change minds. The truth is supressed, rewritten and pumped through the lefts giant PA system including nearly all media in this country. Our schools too from K-Post Grad.

All our western institutions are being dismantled, our history erased.

Conservative candidates have elections stolen out from them in broad daylight.

Second Amendment is rendered moot. The prople got ‘em but they can’t use ‘em. Surveyilance. Ruby Ridge. Ammo restrictions.

Trump’s past agenda and future agenda addresses all of these attacks with a roadmap to the restoration of America.

Then there’s you.

The guy who can’t think, whose intellect has evolved to the level of “Horseshit!”.

You’re brand of idiot is why America is doomed because you selfishly don’t like Trump and want everyone else to go streaking across the quad with you.

Well FO and stay the hell away from me.

Yes these are Trump’s truths. Maybe the military is getting ready to step in or maybe the SCOTUS actually takes up the Brunson case. I think Trump is setting the stage for something.

Trump is going to kick ass. Most MAGA voters have the temerity to see how only bold action will win. DeoSanctus is a light weight and will loose.

Are we going to get another "Platinum Plan" this next time?

It's great to see that Donald Trump and Gavin Newsom are on the same page regarding paying reparations to blacks. They're both for it!

I don't know where Ron DeSantis stands on paying reparations. I'll see what I can find but I'm sure I'll discover he's a "light weight" on the subject of black reparations compared to Donald Trump and Gavin Newsom.

While I mostly agree with you about 80 year olds... you can’t even compare Trump to the wasted person of Biden. C’mon man!

“Explain how America survives once they’ve eliminated Trump?”

trump is neither George Washington nor Jesus Christ! If he dies from a heart attack tomorrow, will you kill yourself? Move to a foreign land? Curl into a fetal position and suck your thumb until you die?

“Free speech is gone. Assemble and have your life destroyed.”

Odd. There are lots of protests, including many done by conservatives. Speech is, if anything, getting freer as the woke garbage is FINALLY getting push-back. The government could get every name from FreeRepublic. If needed, they could get mine from my bank records of contributions to FR.

Any what has Trump done to create free speech? What did he do as President that made free speech possible, while his loss in 2020 ended it?

“you selfishly don’t like Trump”

Ummm...I voted for him twice. Had three Trump flags in my yard. Had a Trump 2024 bumper sticker on my truck in a liberal county for a year.

And now I’ve concluded he has lost it. Lost his mind. He’s going off the deep end. He was THRILLED by the results of the election last month! I was not. He attacks any Republican who might be a threat to him winning the nomination, wants people “installed” after they lose an election and now wants to suspend the Constitution and have Himself declared President! That is CRAZY.

But no, I do not WORSHIP Donald Trump! He is not the second coming of Jesus Christ! You are an idolator, worshipping a false God.

People can massage his words and try to put a reasonable context to them, but it is undeniable that it was a STUPID, HARMFUL thing for him to say! At bare minimum, it makes him look NUTS to independents and the part of the GOP that already disliked Trump. It was all harm to what Trump wants to do and NO GOOD COULD COME OUT OF IT!

Shooting yourself is not the way one wins a war.

“I don’t think he’s suggesting ending the US Consitution, but actions like the collusion between the DNC and Twitter could lead to the end of the US Constitution.”

The ‘commucrats’ have ended the Constitution.

He is not wrong.

He’s not “suggesting” tge end of the constitution. He’s pointing out that it’s been suspended.

Wondering if he and his supporters should also suspend it, in the spirit of the founders, who would not want termination of elections, or is it just uniparty who can suspend it, in the spirit of wanting to abolish it

This is true. The object is to restore the Constitution, or so I thought.

Is it time for a discussion on whether or not the United States can remain a free republic under the current Constitution? I’m open to that discussion, if nothing else as a theoretical mental exercise. If you have alternatives in mind, I would be interested in hearing them. Both Heinlein and Shute have offered alternate visions which had some appeal.

“Don’t be a gullible fool or a creepy leftist lurker. In his tweet President Trump explicitly explains that if the communist “Democratic” Party gets away with this crime it is the end of the Constitution.”

Yes

It is in reading the headline that one also has to be careful if tge goal is to get the truth out of these reports.

Even Breitbart, lately, especially Breitbart

And someone put this on the FR breaking news front page bar

One has to erase all that and look at what Trump is saying.

What he said in full context is not what the thread title suggests.

Step 1: He didn't say that.

Step 2: Well, he didn't mean it.

And it’s statements like this that turn people off to supporting trump again. The “stable genius” sure seems to miss the “stable” part sometimes when he comments.

“Hi, I’m campaigning on behalf of my Senate candidate XXX, a Republican. Can we count on your support??” “NO...your party is out of touch with many people’s views and your leader is seems to be a bit unstable”.

That is type of comment we can expect to get over the next year as we try to get support for our Republican candidates.

The First Amendment does not protect anyone from censorship by Twitter managers/executives. It only protects against governmental censorship.

What concerns me is that any move by the GOVERNMENT to “remove” managers at Twitter, would definitely be a violation of the First Amendment. And yeah, that would require suspending parts of the Constitution.

I’m not on board.

A shake-up at Twitter shouldn’t come from the government.

Has no one been truly listening for the last several years? the constitution has already been violated and is moot. Ready to be moved to the Smithsonian for the uneducated descendants of the lackadaisical generation that blindly refused to stand up against evil to ponder or squint at the unintelligible script written on the yellowed paper.
