Hunter Biden attended the event along with Republican leaders who plan to launch an investigation into the tax affairs of the president's son

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden hosted the first state dinner of their administration at the White House on Thursday, welcoming not only French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte, but more than 350 others including fashion icons, celebrities, Republicans, and Hunter Biden....

... according to the Daily Mail, McCarthy brushed off a question about any awkwardness attending the dinner with Hunter.

"I’m at a dinner with my mom so I’m going to have a great time," he told the publication....

I don’t like McCarthy, but what could he do about it? He’s in the legislative branch, not the executive branch.

He could have refused to attend the dinner and grin into those Socialists faces. That’s the least he could have done.
He wouldn’t even need to make an exit speech if he felt to nervous.

Just get your a** out of that den of thieves and hissing snakes!
Explain to the reporters later. You thought it was inappropriate for Hunter to be in attendance, considering he’s currently under FBI investigation ‘and stuff’.
You think somebody like Nancy or Joe Biden are ever worried about being rude to the opposition?

He D-1, long time since I have come across a comment by you. But I have to admit I don't get on FR much any more. Seems a bit depressing.

You wrote; "Boy, the Left thinks they can get away with anything they damn well please. I sure hope some of the investigations result in indictments and moving the trials out of Washington, D. C. in the interest of a semblance of justice."

I must say God Bless you FRiend if you still believe that any of the Swamp Creatures either (D) or (R) will ever see Justice!

Here is a url with the list of all those in attendance at the swaray.

https://deadline.com/2022/12/the-white-house-state-dinner-guest-list-stephen-colbert-john-legend-1235186813/

Be sure you have some Mallox about as you read down the list which includes many Republican leaders, congress men and US Senators in attendance along with Hunter Biden.

They all from both political partys have sold their souls to be an active partner in the destruction of our once Great Republic.

I would be surprised if more than 10 percent even know the definition of "integrity" much less practice it.

Again nice to see you after all these years since the White Water Boards and Merry Christmas.

When? When McCarthy and McConnell present it to him.

Only Biden can do that.

He could have used his cajones and along with Senator John Thune (R-SD) the Republican Senate Whip (who was also in attendance) stayed home and kept all other feckless Republicans from attending.

But I forgot, the feckless Republicans are always the Party of do anything it takes to get along with their “friends across the aisle’.

The GOPE will never figure out why Donald Trump was so appealing in 2016.

Have you ever stopped to think and accept that not including Republican Reps in that den is probably a huge mistake?

Yes. K. McCarthy should not have been the Standard Bearer of the GOP (laughter). He shoud have had at least two other republicans with him. The inbalance was purposeful from Team Biden. Kevin should have countered it or expressed the desire to counter the dearth of conservatives. They wanted him to feel out numbered and diminished in influence. Their system worked.

Boy, the Left thinks they can get away with anything they damn well please.

They can and they will continue doing so. They don't even bother trying to hide it now, which of course is a big FU! to any American who has even a semblance of common sense or sense of justice and fair play.

My take as well, just another Uniparty event. There is no redemption. Burn it to the ground.

I agree......IMHO, both Kevin McCarthy & Mitch McConnell are weak sisters when measured from head to toe!!! The GOP needs to get rid of these two pansies and put some meaningful GOP “Street Fighters” into leadership roles!!! Case Closed!!!

Having the gall to bring that thing (Hunter) into the mix at a state dinner is like having Uday and Qusay there, IMO.

There is absolutely no shame, decency or propriety in that family at all. Not one iota.
