WASHINGTON, July 20 (Reuters) - A Democratic-controlled U.S. House of Representatives panel on Wednesday began debating legislation to ban certain assault-style rifles such as those used in recent mass shootings, and another bill allowing lawsuits against firearms manufacturers.
The bills face slim odds in the Senate, where they would need at least 10 Republicans allowing them to be brought up for debate. Republicans in the past have rejected similar bills, citing the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution dealing with the right to bear arms.

You underestimate the loyalty and rock solid stupidity of the Democrat voter base.
For example, My neighbor several houses down plastered his/her/its lawn with Creepy Joe and the Ho signs two years ago. The county is in demonstrably worse shape today as a direct result of Democrat policies yet they’ve plastered their lawn again with Democrat candidate signs. Democrat voters take stupid to a new nadir.
As I have pointed out numerous times to libtards the ban had zero effect on the number of semi autos in civilian hands, and based on my own observations actually increased interest in them.
If, at this point, a ban or not a ban makes a difference to anyone they should turn in the firearms they already own.

1) Healthcare - Control healthcare and you control the people.
2) Poverty - Increase the poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them.
3) Debt - Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
4) Gun Control - Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.
5) Welfare - Take control of every aspect (food, housing, income) of their lives because that will make them fully dependent on the government.
6) Education - Take control of what people read and listen to and take control of what children learn in school.
7) Religion - Remove the belief in God from the Government and schools because the people need to believe in ONLY the government knowing what is best for the people.
8) Class Warfare - Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. Eliminate the middle class This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to tax the wealthy with the support of the poor.
