The latest is the monster 7.0-liter V8 that powered the 2006-2013 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, but has also been available as a crate motor for custom car builds.
The LS7 was offered in both its original 505 hp tune with a track-ready dry oil sump design and as a 570 hp wet sump version.

I had a nice little 350 LT-1 in my Buick Roadmaster and Chevy Caprice. Good engine, and reasonable $$ per ci.
It’s odd to me that they haven’t marketed the electric engines in the ONE way that would make them instantly under demand.
RACE THEM.
But for some reason, they won’t (maybe because of battery lifetime, car weight, etc) But it would certainly go a long way to counter the image that we’re giving up something beautiful for something sterile, cold and unsexy.

Hey Mark Donohue with Penske Racing drove and won in Trans Am competition with AMC SST Javelins. Had a 1970 myself at one point, strong 390 engine, I just couldn’t find a competent Tranny guy nearby to keep it on the road.
