Joe Biden's disastrous 48 hours
The Hill ^ | January 14, 2022 | Joe Concha

Posted on 01/14/2022 8:38:15 AM PST by rightwingintelligentsia

It's hard to imagine a worse 48-hour stretch for any first-year president than the one Joe Biden endured over the past two days.

On Wednesday, Quinnipiac University released a devastating poll placing the president's public approval at 33 percent, his lowest approval in any poll since his presidency began.

What makes just one-third of the country supporting this president even more remarkable is that Biden received more votes than any other presidential candidate in history: 81 million, or more than 10 million more votes than the previous record holder, Barack Obama. The drop has been unprecedented: Biden sat at 55 percent approval upon entering office almost one year ago.

Also on Wednesday, it was announced that the Consumer Price Index rose seven percent in 2021, its fastest increase since 1982. It was also announced that inflation is now sitting at a 40-year high.

Things somehow was worse on Thursday. The president went to Capitol Hill to rally Democrats around passing voting rights legislation, only to see Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) go to the floor ahead of his arrival to declare that she would not support eliminating the filibuster.

And as if straight out of a political horror movie, not long after the president got news of Sinema's remarks, the Supreme Court ruled to block enforcement of a vaccine mandate for businesses with 100 or more employees.

Add it all up: The economy is crippled by high prices and not-so-transitory inflation. The president is rebuffed (again) by a member of his own party on a major initiative. And then his vaccine mandate is struck down by a 6-3 decision in the Supreme Court.

All in less than 48 hours.

I don’t even think he is coherent enough to even realize it was disaster.

You’re right.

Libs: Touchy-feely, emotional group think.

Conservatives: Logic , reason and critical thinking to do the right thing.

Tell Jen, Biden should focus on bunny rabbits and ice cream.

I think he has moments of clarity.
It seems like occasionally he comes across as lucid. Then the next appearance he can hardly even READ the Teleprompter.
Then there must be really bad days where he is kept out of site. Hence, the days his handlers “call a lid” he must be incoherent.

Biden has lost CNN and The Hill.
Its somewhat possible he might be forced to “retire” after the ‘22 election.

He doesn’t care because his handlers haven’t told him - anything. All he’s caring about is what kind of pudding they’re gonna give him before they put him down for his afternoon nap..

They claimed “81 million votes” in that article as if anybody actually believed it.

How does someone who got 81 million votes sink all the way to only a 33% approval rating in one year? He doesn’t. He obviously never got anything close to 81 million VALID votes.

This is written by Joe Concha. He use to be a frequent guest on Hannity. I would think he’s not long for The Hill. They chased off John Solomon after he started producing actual journalism.

It is all self-inflected.

Biden is his own worse enemy.

Resign before you do anymore damage.

Americans and especially conservatives are a very understanding and forgiving bunch. We don't find failures to be ending. Biden needs to fire his manipulators, regroup, and recommit to sound policy in government. He can do that as an American Democrat president. He would be supported by the right as such. Country comes before politics in America.

Whoever the twisted mean manipulation masters are in the Whitehouse are need a kick to the curb. Stasi guarded grade schools, government run Healthcare decisions, open borders, and windmills, are not the priorities of the public both democrats and Republicans. The jerks manipulating Biden are seeking destruction of America as an elected republic. They dream of a totalitarian power grab where those in disagreement get the Rwanda treatment. Most federal agencies have already subscribed to that goal of totalitarianism while they hold the brass ring. They have been working on that for about 25 years now. They won't give up without a fight.

There is no way this dementia sufferer hiding in his basement got more votes than the Messiah Barrack Obama.

Nice sentiment but this guy is basically a ventriloquist dummy. Dummies don't have the capability of kicking their puppet masters to the curb, unless they're in the Twilight Zone.

I have been thinking a bit about the Jimmy Carter days lately.

I saw a History Channel show on the Iran hostage crisis. There were a lot of little known tid-bits there—which when combined with what we learned after the fact shows a Carter administration totally out of touch with reality.

The last day of the Carter administration was high comedy.

They scurried around making all sorts of phone calls while waiting for the hostages to be released that day—so they could claim credit “for history”.

Of course they did not know that the Reagan folks had gone behind their backs and cut the actual deal (later called “arms for hostages”) that the Iranians had accepted.

The Iranians (as part of the deal) waited until Carter had left the WH and Reagan was officially inaugurated—and then released the hostages.

That was a great example of how having the title of President meant absolutely nothing when real deals are to be cut by serious players...

William Henry Harrison comes to mind.
