Don't know how lively this thread will be, but there is coverage of sorts going on so I figured it merited a thread for FReepers to comment on and post updates as they occur.

It’s sad that there might be riots but not sad that there will be national guard there just in case.
Actually I live a long way from Kenosha, Wisconsin and don’t care what happens there.
Cruel?! It seems to me a clear indicator of fairness.
If i was a juror, I'd notice that and remark that I understand the sort of situation the mob put Kyle into. Jurors are in a place, legally, doing a legal job, and they are being threatened. How many of them would forgo self-defense?
Hearing chanting from a mob would instantly put me in a frame of mind thinking about self-defense.
They may be making Kyle’s case for him . . .
since it was obvious from day one that this was a matter of self defense by viewing the tapes, and knowing many of the jury would vote not-guilty; I wouldn’t be surprised if the prosecution had a ringer in the jury to vote guilty and get a hung jury.
“until needed” for what now at this point?
To replace those who don’t agree with them in deliberation?
The unpopular press is making this case a racial case. Show that 11 out of 11 whities aren't prejudiced in the least.
women on the jury: he killed two people and hello dolly-ed a third, he has to be guilty of something? if we do not convict, riots will happen.
men on the jury: guilty of being a cisgender male, with toxic masculinity and a darn good eye to know when to shoot and not shoot.

My sense is the governor has called the NG in order to amplify the threat from the left, make it look bigger than it really is. The townfolk are capable of handling this.

If the jury returns a hung jury can Judge Schroeder use that as justification to rule with prejudice?

Still be my first pick. Second pick would be one of the women.
Side game: if the jury sends out questions, what will the subject be? My pick is they ask for an explanation from the judge on the law of provocation.
Yes based on the jury pool for Kenosha and the jury actually selected I am skeptical the pretty much overwhelming evidence of innocence will mean much. If the jury comes back quickly it will be innocent on all counts. If they are still deliberating tomorrow it will mean someone on the jury is being beaten into submission. A hung jury is definitely a possibility.
Prediction: not guilty.
There is reasonable doubt.
Jurors may have to be replaced for a variety of reasons. For instance, if they introduced something into the discussions they read on the internet but that hadn’t been introduced at trial. Or, if they suddenly disclosed that their mother had worked with one of the witnesses and she said he was a good boy and wouldn’t lie. That type of thing. That juror would be removed and replaced with an alternate.
My guess is it is the same substance, except that Mary didn’t know it.
