The man who shot a Daytona Beach, Florida, police officer in the head Wednesday night has been arrested.
Daytona Beach Police shared the news on Twitter Saturday morning, writing, "Othal Wallace has been captured!"
At a press conference at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Chief Jakari Young said police found Wallace in a property located in a wooded area, in Atlanta.
In the area next to the main house were a trailer and a treehouse. Wallace was hiding in the treehouse with flash bangs, Young said.
"Rifle plates, body armor, two rifles, two handguns and several boxes of ammunition were also in the treehouse," he said. "Other weapons were also located in the main residence."
Young said the property is affiliated with an organization called the Not F****ng Around Coalition, a Black nationalist paramilitary organization.
Four other people were located on the property along with Wallace.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Daytona Beach police officer, identified as 26-year-old Jason Raynor, was responding to a suspicious incident Wednesday, when Wallace shot him, the department said. He is currently in critical condition, authorities said.

On June 24, after Wallace was accused of shooting the Daytona Beach officer, Shabazz wrote on Facebook, “Take look at the video evidence in OZ case. Let’s look at the evidence. Forget the howling of the white press. Look at the evidence. The truth is we really do not know what happened here and cannot speculate. The officer could have shot himself. There may have been two cops here. Again; every defendant has a right to a defense. Every defendant is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt according to the law.”

It might have been very close range and it might have been an (un)lucky shot, but I always cringe when people on our side of things underestimate the skills of those likely to come up against us. We may have more time it the range, but with the exception of a relatively small subset of combat veterans, the average L.A., Chicago, or Atlanta gangster probably has more experience engaging live targets or even engaging under return fire.

We read this POS belonged to the ‘Not F***ing Around Coalition’ and the Black Panthers.... We also read stories of violence and hate about BLM, Nation of Islam, and others.
What I don’t read about is so called white supremacist organizations doing likewise. You would think such stories would dominate the news cycle given our current environment.
My point is that police being targeted for execution seems to be an organized or promoted activity from certain groups. I call that domestic terrorism. There should be an all out war to stop it now. To acquiesce to the violence, shrug it off as misguided youth or racist to prosecute is promoting the end of the civil society.

Every defendant is presumed innocent unless you are a Trump supporter. And every story I saw about this gave his name and age but didn’t dare say what he looked like even though he was on the run.
