This is War
American Thinker.com ^ | November 24, 2020 | J. Robert Smit

We are at war with enemies of liberty, domestic and foreign. Domestic enemies are now pressing relentlessly. Why shrink from the word “enemy,” the simple definition of which is “one seeking to injure, overthrow, or confound an opponent.” Who other are these warmakers?

This war is much more than disputes over fraudulent elections, though that would be cause enough. The Democratic Party is a means. The new war has been imagined, developed, and phased in over decades by the left. It’s unconventional, asymmetric, and cunning. It’s insidious, and has been about stealth and infiltration more so than outright confrontation -- until this year, when state shutdowns have been imposed to test the limits of tyranny… to gauge the level of tolerance of unconstitutional centralized rule over a free people. Targeted violence has been employed in cities to engender angst, a sense of helplessness, and, consequently, to demoralize us.

The left’s warfare -- underwritten by coastal plutocrats, chiefly -- is comprehensive. The target now are our politics. The aim is to capture our national and state governments. Dominating the means of government nearly ensures its ends, which have nothing to do with our freedoms. Capturing governments is an endpoint -- the crowning achievement in the left’s long march.

What would follow leftist consolidation of power in the United States is the hoped-for realization of the leftist-globalist dream of a “Great Reset,” whereby the United States is subsumed in some oligarchic-Marxist transnational utopia. As the history of the last 100 years teaches us abundantly, the left’s quests for utopia resolve in hells. The body count reaches into the millions, thanks to leftist slaughter.

J. Robert SMITH, not J. Robert Reich, had me confused there.

Yes, it is war, but only one side sees it as war. The left is energized and willing to do absolutely anything.

The right has only one fighter, Donald Trump.

To use medical terminology, the author has described the disease, with the Democratic Party as its carrier/vector.

It’s the big cities that are liberal.
Liberals always like their power generated elsewhere.
They get their water from elsewhere.
Think about that.

Teddy Roosevelt formed the Bull Moose party after losing. Did it end up giving the WH to Woodrow Wilson?

I already read the Smith version of the article this morning. Now I see this, made me wonder if I lacked reading comprehension. Honest mistake on the name tho. Kaslin does great posting these articles.

That is correct.

And it’s best to realize, sooner rather than later, that we’re at war. We’re about to lose so many freedoms if we don’t make a stand.

So many are just willing to accept things and kick the can down the road for future generations to have to deal with. We’re losing it fast and when it’s gone, it’s gone.

“Teddy Roosevelt formed the Bull Moose party after losing. Did it end up giving the WH to Woodrow Wilson?”

The Republicans are a useless bag of ....

Actually, there is no good answer I can see. Reform the Republican party? *giggle* Form a new party? To what end? The Dems are going to open the borders. We are going to have Mexicans and muslims all over the place. Reliable Dem voters. Black America, you didn’t wake up soon enough, and now your place in line is going to be surrendered.

The only real answer won’t yield results in my lifetime. Get back to the schools and stop the indoctrination. Anything less is simply peeing in the wind.

We are at war, like it or not. And when you mention that to neighbors and friends, they look at you like you’re some kind of lunatic. So, I’ll watch, as my friends and neighbors gleefully accept the “new normal”. Make catchy little memes, joke about it, and submit.

The American legal system is in place, not to protect its citizens, but to control them.

Yes, but Teddy formed the Bull Moose Party (also called the Progressive Party) because he did not think the Republican party was progressive enough. It would be like the Lincoln Republicans starting a new RINO party that's more ratlike than the current GOP.

Yup. Probably a Freudian juxtaposition of the content of the article with the author’s name: Reich = Leftist Totalitarian Regime.

Yes. This is war.

And the sooner we start fighting it like a REAL war, the less bleeding there will be.

Or do we need to wait for Trump supporters to be shipped off to re-education camps before we step up?

I fear the majority of our side just doesn’t have the will to fight.

Yes, it has the potential to get very bloody and extremely painful. Many people will lose everything. So so much to lose. But if we don’t fight this insidious enemy, what kind of life will we be living in 10 years? What will this country look like?

Some of the left are ideologues, but most are dirty rotten pols, bought and paid for by the CCP.

We have to stop the chattering class from buying all that rope the CCP is offering.
