Could Today’s COVID Surge have been Avoided?

As the holiday season approaches, Americans are being served a dollop of misery atop their Thanksgiving pumpkin pie. COVID cases are “surging,” resulting in new mandates essentially closing businesses, restaurants, health clubs, and other personal services.

Is this necessary or could this second lockdown have been avoided if we treated COVID as we did previous viral pandemics or seasonal flu which reappears like clockwork at this time every year? Or was this the plan all along, the “dark winter” Joe Biden warned of? Sowing the seeds of the globalists’ “great reset”?

When the Wuhan virus emerged last winter, the White House recommended “15 days to slow the spread.” This was not a cure, but only a mitigation effort to prevent overwhelming the healthcare system and keep our most high-risk populations safe.

This was a reasonable approach in the face of an unknown virus that could infect many, some badly, overwhelming the healthcare system. Makeshift hospitals were built in many cities and two massive military hospital ships docked outside of New York and Los Angeles, all of which were largely and fortunately unneeded and unused.

Despite these efforts, Americans got sick, some were hospitalized and some died. Testing was available only for those sick enough to be admitted to the hospital. Businesses closed and workers stayed home. Life became a dystopian world of face coverings, distancing, and quarantines.

By summer, things eased a bit with a partial easing of business restrictions, yet we still were told to wear masks, stay at least six feet apart from each other, and to not gather in groups to celebrate newlyweds or mourn departed family members.

Were these measures effective? Did they alter the course of the Chinese virus pandemic or simply prolong everyone’s misery?

"Should we have treated COVID as we did past viral pandemics rather than as a political issue fanned by an irresponsible and partisan media?"

"Instead, America has been decimated socioeconomically, with no end in sight. A helpless and hopeless population entering what used to be a joyous holiday season. Was that the goal all along?"

Yes, it WAS the goal all along. And to STEAL the election, too! However, me and mine are still going to have a JOYOUS Thanksgiving and a JOYOUS Christmas.

“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”

The surge could not be avoided. It’s going to follow the same pattern as a particularly infectious flu...and it is flu season.

Yes. It could've taken place months ago.

But then, a surge is subjective. If a thousand people a day are catching the virus with no symptoms and suddenly two thousand people a day are catching it, that's a surge. If ten people a day are catching it and then suddenly 20 people a day are catching it, that's also a surge.

There is no “Covid surge” - and 70 million Americans know it. And we’ve just about had it up to here...

Yes, of course that was the goal. Evidenced by the refusal of progressive politicians to follow their own goals. A self destructive impulse, or acknowledgement of both the ineffectiveness of their actions and the high likelihood of their survival should they be infected. Personally, I don't think it's going to work, but a serious attempt dating to the demonization of the President by the left, politicians, media, and internet, since before taking office.

Watch Europe. They don’t have a Thanksgiving.

It is foolish to blame it on American customs that draw family together.

No, it could have been. Biden and Xi went through a lot of work getting this Kung Flu crap going so they could use it to remove President Trump from office. Less than 5000 Red Chinese have died from the Kung Flu and China has had only 86,000 cases? Somebody be booshi*ttin’. It’s almost as though the Red Chinese and the Biden/Commielala Klan have had a vaccine all along. Sleepy Slo Jo is already planning a trip to China to kiss Xi’s ass and thank him for the help getting President Trump out of the Oval Office.

Trump praised and recommended HCQ+AZ+Zinc back in March.

I have seen at least 10 studies touting the success and efficacy of this inexpensive therapeutic. It stops the virus cold in its tracks.

It should be in everybody’s medicine cabinets, like aspirin or cold medicine.

But because it was Trump’s recommendation, Lancet, NEJM, the “mainstream” media, Neal Cavuto and democrats poo-poohed it, and even condemned the treatment.

The medical journals retracted their conclusions because of invalid data. Too late, the damage was done.

Trump Derangement Syndrome took over.

Estimates show that 150,000 people died unnecessarily. Their blood is on the Democrats and their allies hands.

Answer: Yes

Method: Increase sunshine vitamin - Vitamin D.

Explanation: COVID-19 is a coronavirus... Just like the Flu. Why do you think that Flu Season is in the winter months... People get less Vitamin D. To that end, it makes sense to take more Vitamin D.

A study a few weeks found that 80% of those who suffered the most from COVID-19 had a deficiency of Vitamin D. ( Source Link )

I found these examples

1. Germany | Erntedankfest

"Erntedankfest" literally translates to "harvest thank festival." Yeah, the German language tends to cut right to the chase. But the tradition of holding a harvest festival in Germany and other European countries dates back to before Christianity.

The image of a Thanksgiving cornucopia (also known as a "horn of plenty") actually comes from a European pagan tradition where farmers would fill a curved goat horn with fruits, vegetables and grains as a thanks for the bounty provided by the previous season’s labor.

Today, Erntedankfest takes place on the first Sunday of October. Unlike an American Thanksgiving where we stay at home with close friends and family, German communities take their festivities to the streets and to town squares for parades, music, dancing and, of course, food. Because turkey, a bird native to North America, is not as common in Germany, an Erntedankfest meal would have chicken or a goose.

Being from Germany I am familiar with the holiday which in my hometown was celebrated in our Catholic church. If the Lutherans; of which there were more than Catholics I have no idea. I only know 3 farmers (Bauern Hof) called in German, in my home town. One was not far away from the house that I grew up in

2. Grenada

Grenada celebrates Thanksgiving around a month sooner than the U.S.

Thanksgiving in Grenada is younger than most celebrations around the world, and it doesn’t necessarily have to do with the harvest season. A Thanksgiving in Grenada takes place on October 25th and commemorates when the United States military came to the country to help restore order after their communist leader, Maurice Bishop, died in 1983.

Soldiers stationed in Grenada began to tell locals about the upcoming Thanksgiving feast and how it's a time for gratitude. To give thanks to the U.S. soldiers, the people of Grenada surprised them with an American-style Thanksgiving complete with turkey, stuffing, gravy and traditional sides. The endearing gesture is now memorialized as an official holiday in Grenada.

Anyway here are more examples of countries that celebrate Thanksgiving.

My parents btw didn't celebrate the "holiday>
