Where's the Evidence? Fox News Host Presses Sidney Powell on Voter Fraud. She Has Responded.

Fox News has had its moments during this election cycle. There’s been considerable frustration and anger with the hosts. Election Night was a disaster for the network. Other hot mic moments have infuriated viewers. They cut away from a Trump White House presser on voter fraud. It’s been a mess. Tucker Carlson appeared to have taken a swipe at his colleagues, noting you just can’t cut away from news coverage that you don’t like. Yet, last night, it was different. Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell says she has evidence of vote fraud. She said that it will prove that President Trump won in a landslide.

The voter fraud scandal itself, if true, would be the biggest in American history by more than a few touchdowns. It would be cataclysmic, to say the least—and yet—she didn’t come onto Tucker’s show. The reason: when pressed for evidence to back up these claims, she got frustrated and told Fox News not to contact her (via WaPo):

Tucker has seen enough (of Sidney Powell anyway)

As Fox News host Tucker Carlson noted on Thursday night, he’s more than willing to give airtime to outlandish claims. “We literally do UFO segments,” he said.

But even Carlson said he was fed up with the total lack of evidence produced by Sidney Powell, one of the Trump campaign’s attorneys, for her unfounded allegation that electronic voting systems had switched millions of ballots to favor President-elect Joe Biden.

“We invited Sidney Powell on the show. We would have given her the whole hour,” Carlson said. “But she never sent us any evidence, despite a lot of requests, polite requests. Not a page. When we kept pressing, she got angry and told us to stop contacting her.”

Carlson also noted: “She never demonstrated that a single actual vote was moved illegitimately by software from one candidate to another. Not one.”

… Carlson didn’t discount the larger claims of Trump’s attorneys that massive fraud disrupted the election — an allegation that has been repeatedly dismissed in court and for which the White House has presented no public evidence.

[…]

The segment also put Carlson at odds with other Fox News hosts like Jesse Watters, who on his Thursday show described Powell and Giuliani’s news conference as “a big shot of adrenaline.”

Well, she responded this morning (via Washington Examiner):

Trump attorney Sidney Powell fires back: Tucker Carlson was 'insulting, demanding, and rude' -- https://t.co/leMZ1Scj7d -- for @dcexaminer pic.twitter.com/CTDKxZnJql— Daniel Chaitin (@danielchaitin7) November 20, 2020

Sidney Powell, an attorney on President Trump's election legal team, shot back at Fox News host Tucker Carlson the morning after he said she "got angry" and refused to provide evidence on his show for her claims of voting software flipping votes.

"No, I didn’t get angry with the request to provide evidence," the former federal prosecutor said Friday morning during an interview with Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo.

"In fact, I sent an affidavit to Tucker that I had not even attached to a pleading yet to help him understand the situation, and I offered him another witness who could explain the mathematics and the statistical evidence far better than I can. I’m not really a numbers person," she added.

"But he was very insulting, demanding, and rude, and I told him not to contact me again, in those terms," Powell concluded.

He said, she said, but pulling back from this spat between Carlson and Powell—there needs to be some sort of significant development regarding her Dominion allegations, a sequel that should drop soon—something—because the clock is running out.

Nope. I quit Tucker when he was howling about COVID. He signed on for a broadened contract with FOXSNOOZE after they pulled the garbage they pulled on election night. He cannot be trusted imo, and not going to FN anyway. I simply will no longer be bothered to go to YouTube to see his utterances that no longer amount to a hill of beans.

Very much not the case.

He’s pointed out examples where mundane chicanery has clearly occurred, and mocked the other networks for pretending it doesn’t exist.

In regards Powell’s claims it is more complex: she hasn’t produced evidence - but assuming she had it, she wouldn’t the details of this type of evidence at this stage until she has a chance to declare it in court.

NONSENSE! He may have mocked the OTHER netwoks bur never his own. As far as Sidney Powell, why should she try her case in the press by disclosing all the evidence she has. Tucker cooked his own goose. HE IS NO CONSERVATIVE!

You asserted that she has not produced evidence. That is a bold deception since she has produced affidavits reporting vote fraud witnessed by the affiant, and a signed affidavit IS EVIDENCE which a real court accepts. Did you know that signed witness affidavits are real evidence?

She has produced some affidavits which show the capability, and which show statistical inference. She claims to have much more than that, which the released affidavits do not appear to cover.

That is unlike the things that Giuliani was referencing.

But again, at this point one would not expect the details of her claims to be released. The issue here - and I believe with Tucker - is not that she hasn’t released core evidence that electronic vote fraud actually took place, but that folks think she has.

did you read what I actually wrote? In part you argue against my words by claiming the same thing I wrote.

Tucker cooked his own goose. HE IS NO CONSERVATIVE!

Why should he be? People used to say the same thing about O'Reilly. They are supposed to be fair and balanced. All I ever wanted to see from Fox News people was fair treatment. I used to like Greta when when she was on Fox. She was reputedly a lib, but very even-handed and fair with guests of whatever political leaning. If Tucker is asking for more "evidence" from Sydney than he would from Schiff, then I would have a problem with it.

During the height of the peaceful protests rioting and pillaging, I think Tucker helped the GOP by pointing out that the rioting was going on in 'rat controlled cities. But he was critical of the President and kept saying that Trump should "do something" to stop it. He has never been an outright GOP or Trump cheerleader.

P.S. I seldom watch TV news, including Fox. I watched the convention and Trump's rallies on OAN.

I was VERY disappointed in Tucker last night. I believe it would have been malpractice for her to show Tucker her "evidence" before she has had her day in court. You do not show the evidence to a Talk show host, you show it to the judge and jury at the trial.

I have a hard time believing that he does not actually know this. So, what? Was this just a "I'm the biggest star at Fox News" hissy fit?

Spin along Cassidy spins again. Bot possible it says ... tell that to the Venezuelans who did not elect Chavez again and again yet the collations always gave him the victories. You are a disgusting person and probably why The Great State of Virginia is so sickeningly blue. Don't take the mark when it is commanded to you.

I learned that ranked voting is the reason why they stored counts using floating point (fractional) values.

It’s a frigging terrible excuse (more than likely, it’s a lie). Anything dealing with fractional votes could be done using a post processor. The dolt that decided to do it in realtime should be jailed and never be allowed to touch a computer again.

“Fox News has literally advocated overthrowing foreign governments”

They represent the neocon wing of the uniparty and the boogeyman for the brainwashed left. They’re doing their job just fine.

They never wanted to see Trump succeed. I stopped watching Fox in 2008 ... They were too giddy about Obama for my taste.

his remark about Sidney Powell’s “rudeness”, in answer to Tucker’s rudeness asking such a silly question...Powell obviously doesn’t suffer fools.

Yes, it reminds me a bit of Andrew Cuomo talking about how Trump wasn't responsible for the fast track on the vaccine. He said "it is just ego". I had to laugh at him accusing someone else of acting out of ego; when he seems to do nothing else.

I am shocked at a lot of my fellow Freepers reactions to Tucker. He has been, IMO, the best conservative TV show host that is currently on a large platform TV network.

Probably the best voice for “US” in the last 10yrs.

Go ahead and close off any networks or shows that offer an opposing viewpoint. Shut down anyone you dont agree with, just like the college students do to speakers like Shapiro

Your reactions to fellow Freepers is astounding as well. Instantly call everyone you disagree with a plant, liar, faker, traitor etc.

I know you are pissed off about the election and so am I.

Unfortunately, you are acting on emotion instead of facts.

The evidence, that I have seen so far, wouldn’t even make it past a probable cause hearing.

If they have such smoking gun evidence, why aren’t they showing it? Do you mean to tell me Tucker is suppressing REAL evidence from his viewers?

And by now you better be able to see you can ALMOST try a case in the media, or swing an election. Thats how you build momentum. The left has been doing it to us for years.

I’m kind of surprised at how many people only realize now that Fox News has always been Neoconservative and a false opposition.

TY. I caught it on my radio app.

WMAL is great for streamed political talk radio.

Sidney is probably working >16 hours per day preparing for the courtroom. It is prudent for her to ignore media requests for her time.

Sidney repeated that she emailed material to Tucker supporting her claims. To my knowledge, Tucker has not acknowledged this. He should have.

Sidney isn't the only one with credibility on the line.
