'Never bet against me': Trump makes first post-election comments, lays out path to victory

"It's probably two weeks, three weeks" to know outcome, president says

"Never bet against me."

That's what President Trump told Washington Examiner reporter Byron York on Thursday, in his first post-election comments on the state of the 2020 presidential race.

Trump was optimistic, laying out a scenario in which he pulls out wins in key battleground states and gets to the magic number of 270 votes in the Electoral College.

"We're going to win Wisconsin," the president said in the exclusive phone interview. "Arizona – it'll be down to 8,000 votes, and if we can do an audit of the millions of votes, we'll find 8,000 votes easy. If we can do an audit, we'll be in good shape there."

"Georgia, we're going to win, because now, we're down to about 10,000, 11,000 votes, and we have hand-counting," he said, referring to a call by Georgia's secretary of state do perform a full audit on the election. "Hand-counting is the best. To do a spin of the machine doesn't mean anything. You pick up 10 votes. But when you hand-count – I think we're going to win Georgia."

Trump also presented a rosy view on North Carolina, where he leads by more than 70,000 votes. He predicts a win there unless, he said jokingly, "they happen to find a lot of votes. I said, 'When are they going to put in the new votes in North Carolina? When are they going to find a batch from Charlotte?' "

That leaves Pennsylvania (where Trump trails 60,000 votes) and Michigan (where he's behind by more than 145,000 votes).

The two big states," Trump said, adding, "They're all sort of big."

Trump then complained about the process in Pennsylvania.

"They wouldn't let our poll watchers and observers watch or observe," he said. "That's a big thing. They should throw those votes out that went through during those periods of time when [Trump observers] weren't there. We went to court, and the judge ordered [the observers] back, but that was after two days, and millions of votes could have gone through. Millions. And we're down 50,000," he said.

The president told York he has contemplated losing. "I'm a guy who realizes – five days ago, I thought, 'Maybe,'" he said. "But, now I see evidence, and we have hundreds of affidavits," referring to the testimony included in lawsuits by his campaign.

"When I asked him how quickly he might turn things around," York wrote, "he said, 'I don't know. It's probably two weeks, three weeks.'"

"He knows the situation. He has heard many people tell him it's over and time to concede. But at the very least, it is important for his most devoted supporters to see him fighting to stay in office. And he closed with a good-natured warning for everyone who has told him there is no hope: 'Never bet against me,'" York wrote.

“Vegas doesn’t abide attempts to swindle it. Try it at your own peril.”

I am not a gambler and have never been there, but I’ve watched the movie “21” and you’re right. Plus “Oceans Eleven.”

Movies can provide information. And I’ve got the, um, rear end to prove it. LOL! Too much sitting and popcorn. :)

“Do you know what the Kraken is?”

I was looking it up. It’s apparently a sea monster. But also some sort of conspiracy theory.

Must be a sea monster in the Bermuda Triangle. I really have no idea. :)

“Release the Kraken!” Doesn’t sound like a good idea.

Classic WWII quote. And he was quite right.

There is a part of me that truly believes that God protects America. Perhaps because our beloved country was founded by men of faith and we included Him in our founding documents.

And most Americans are faithful people who pray quite a bit. At least conservatives do. And no one will ever convince me that most Americans aren’t conservative.

Living in Canada, I was talking to a taxi driver about the election and such. I said, “You’ve got to understand that most Americans believe in God.” He was a Muslim. But a good man.

As long as they don’t fly commercial airliners into high-rise buildings, I have no problem with them.

The Electoral College may be our last, best hope. I pray they are wise in their decision.

The Kraken was a MASSIVE sea monster created for 1981’s “Clash of the Titans” (it’s not a real Greek mythological character). The Kraken was capable of causing tidal waves which could destroy entire cities.

Zeus had Hades keep the Kraken locked up in a huge undersea cage, and then at some point Zeus commanded “Release the Kraken!!”

At that point all hell broke loose as the Kraken emerged from the sea to destroy the city of Joppa and Princess Andromeda in particular. It was a good thing that Perseus (son of Zeus) had already chopped off the head of Medusa and was carrying it wrapped in a cloth—so Perseus could use her hideous face and deadly eyes to turn the Kraken into stone.

Kankles Clinton pretty much has the same effect as Medusa on men forced to look at her hideous face and demonic glowing eyes.

Well, that’s a good point. But I tip him well and we don’t get into religious conversations.

You are probably right though. When push comes to shove...

Wow, I’m just watching The Five on Fox and they/ showed Hitlery with her shaking head. I wanted to vomit.

I never want to see her or Obama ever again.

And thank you for the info on the Kraken. Never even knew that was a myth or existed. ? Fascinating stuff.

I love to watch politics, of course; after that, the paranormal. The Haunting, etc. Any show narrated by Dan Ackroyd is excellent in my book. :)

Have a nice evening, FRiend. I have to go take a shower. With this Covid, I put it off, but my head is itchy. :) Need to wash my hair.

I seriously wonder how many people who work from home are discarding personal hygiene. I know my husband doesn’t even shave much anymore.

But of course, we’re not all Nancy Pelosi who can get well groomed when we want to. ;)

It’s a metaphor

In his case refers to a large amount of proof of voter fraud

You probably figured that out by now...

Certain character strings trigger flags in ESHELON.

SKIF ain’t one of them.

Hopefully, neither is ESHELON.

Awesome, thanks for the info!

I LOVE the 1981 version of “Clash of the Titans,” It had so many cool Claymation characters. My favorite Claymation character was Calibos, but the Claymation Medusa was also really good, too.

The Kraken was hilarious, he looked like a large Creature From the Black Lagoon. :0)
