The Ann Arbor, Mich., City Council unanimously voted this week to essentially decriminalize a wide range of psychedelic drugs, including psilocybin mushrooms, mescaline, and ayahuasca.
"The Mayor and City Council hereby declare that it shall be the policy of the City of Ann Arbor that the investigation and arrest of persons for planting, cultivating, purchasing, transporting, distributing, engaging in practices with, or possessing Entheogenic Plants or plant compounds which are on the Federal Schedule 1 list shall be the lowest law enforcement priority for the City of Ann Arbor," the resolution passed Monday says.
The resolution applies to "plants, fungi, and natural materials ... that can benefit psychological and physical wellness."

Scary though indeed. What makes it so bad is that these folks when they are mind blowing sky high and hallucinating to kingdom come believe they are sober enough to operate an automobile in a safe manner. Scary thoughts.
I don’t care if people destroy their brains, but I don’t want to pay one cent towards their upkeep. They should not get any money from the state, no welfare, no unemployment, no free medical care, nothing! Let them take the full responsibility for their stupid actions.
Simple solution: Mandate 10% fentynal in every mushroom.
If they legalize growing it someone will be selling it, authorized or not.
Then of course if you become know as a grower someone will be breaking in to your place to steal it.
If you the grower become worried about someone stealing your crop you will end up shooting someone.
A bit of a can of worms they have opened.
There seems to be a (planned) pattern here where the US population gets dumbed down to the point where they don’t have a clue about anything except shopping and entertainment and have no idea how the country they live in works - total detachment.
That leads to a poor understanding of choosing elected officials.
That lead to the election of disaster Obama and his policies which in turn led to the election of Trump (thank God). Still, the best choice based on the selection possibilities that were very poor.
Now we are in an absurd situation of political polarity not based on issues but rather emotions, entitlement gender and race.
The legalization of drugs is a part of that overall plan and heck, why not? If A is now legal then let’s legalize B!
The end result will be that eventually, Heroin and Incest will be legal. This is a slippery slope we’re on and it is out of control.
The population will soon be, not only dumbed down but stoned out of it’s mind.
The cost of all this is going to be very heavy.
