Even if a judge TRO’s this the dems will be put in the positin of helping mothers and children desperate for food and school clothes and Trump will say:
“I dunno. I thought we put together a very good deal to give immediate relief. A fine deal. Really help. Really help desperate people.
I think we should move forward with this plan. It’s pretty much what you want and more importantly it’s what people need/want.
Whaddyuh say? We should help them right now. Okay. Okay?”
The dems are screwed.
They were screaming about their porkulus bill and maybe some relief for the unemployed and now they are forced to go along with their plan and drop the rest.
You know, for mothers and children...
IMO you’re ignoring the media’s impact in this.
If a “Republican” judge- as defined by the media- injuncts this, then the media ‘can’ struggle to make Trump *look ineffective*. And make it look his fault for not going along with the Dem demands to get the money to people instead.
I’m sure just this narrative has been worked out already.
We’ll see soon.
Of course Trump will fight back, and he has a record of winning against the media.
But this is how I see it going instead.

I expect a legal fight.
Of course if there was even a sliver of difference between the Dems and the media it would be just as you say.
Hopefully Appeals courts are balanced enough now that Trump can quickly win in the courts too.
