Our first priority is to support our drivers and their safety when theyre on the road, Mike Kucharski, co-owner of Summit, Illinois-based JKC Trucking, told the Fox program.
Defunding the police is a bad idea because when youre on the road, you have youre for weeks and days at a time, driving 11 hours with valuable cargo, everybody wants to steal this.
On the road, Kucharski said, theres no safe place. Violence is everywhere. So, if youre going to be having valuable cargo and theres going to be no police to rely on, whos going to protect our drivers?

I would bet that sooner, rather than later, the insurance companies will NOT cover the Trucking industry.
Every AMERICAN CITIZEN should be armed, the only problem with that is in a lot of DEM CONTROLLED districts and states an armed citizen is considered “THE PROBLEM” and would face criminal prosecution!
All the more reason to be prepared.
The denizens of inner cities aren't even smart enough to pull off a "Mad Max" type operation. All they know how to do is shoot each other and steal. Besides, where are they going to get their gasoline when truckers stop delivering it?
I believe the preferred slogan is
So once again we have somebody pointing to a problem that’s NOT being solved by police and insisting it will be bad without police. Meanwhile I know a bunch of long haul truckers and the numbers of times they’ve been jacked is a combined ZERO. I think it really only happens when your company has mob ties, otherwise nobody knows what’s in your truck.
LOL! And if folks knew what was in some of the trucks they’re on the road with........................
Imagine... a World with a thousands of Reginald Denny incidents. Yeah, welcome to Demokratzia Paradiso.
High value cargo is handled specially,
When food and fuel become high value, what then?
Too much money, they will accept the risks.
By they do you mean Management will be driving the trucks? Have you factored in the Union response? Doesnt look like it to me.

They think Trump will be blamed. They have plenty of time and lots of money to make empty promises and get themselves reelected.
There are VERY few unions in trucking. I only know of one that is nationally known. That is why we get paid slave wages for 14-16 hour days. If you mention “union” you get fired, and I am not even kidding.
Trucking is a revolving door, and there are less and less naturally birthed Americans driving. Immigration has flipped it. The is a huge issue being discussed in trucking circles.
It is what it is.
I agree that freight hauling is a cutthroat business, but the gentleman’s warning about de-funding police is still valid. Even if companies are willing to risk drivers, they are protective of their bottom line. Equipment loses, cargo liability, insurance rates and other expenses will have a toll. The simple economics of hauling freight or doing any kind of business in a danger zone will inevitably result first in higher prices and later in shortages.
True, the dynamic will change. But don’t look for trucking to avoid major municipalities. Did you know there is extra pay just to deliver in NYC? They will pass the expense down to the customer.
But any idea of trucking companies discovering morality and doing the right thing is a joke.
Sometimes I remember to look her up and definitely worth listening to.
The first driver who gets dragged out of his rig and beaten to death will bring that industry to a screeching halt.

keep the truckers out...let em starve!
NO,no,no!
Everything will be shipped in on highspeed rail!
Yes, the perishables will be rotten before transfer to local delivery and most everything else will have been pilfered...
No it wont.
If the first one doesnt the 2nd or 3rd one will.
L
By rail, and perishables will be rotten.
Reminds me of the rotting lettuce in railroad cars in “East Of Eden”.
