WASHINGTON—The National Security Agency strongly dissented from other intelligence agencies’ assessment that Russia paid bounties for the killing of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan, according to people familiar with the matter.
The disclosure of the dissent by the NSA, which specializes in electronic eavesdropping, comes as the White House has played down the revelations, saying that the information wasn’t verified and that intelligence officials didn’t agree on it.

The DOD did not agree with it either, which means the DIA - Defense Intelligence Agency, which has some advantage in Afghanistan with embedded military intelligence officers on the ground. And the CIA gets their info from where? The New York Times and Christopher Steele???

However I spend a lot of time reading commentary at the New York Times,Daily Kos,Democratic Underground,the Quora forum, Politico,and the Hill. “Know thy enemy” is my political philosophy.
I’ve never seen them this agitated towards Russia in my lifetime.(I’m 49) The American establishment is playing them like a fiddle. The fiddle is stamped by our CIA and State Department,yet the leftwing nutjobs say “ more please”, out of Trump hatred.
A thought occurs to me. All the democrat schemes have one common thread, they accuse you of what THEY actually do.
Trump and Russian prostitutes peeing all over the place to humiliate someone? This is from the fevered mind of a democrat homo. A normal man would never even think of such a thing.
So... who exactly would think up the idea of PAYING CASH to Afghans to kill the someone? Broke Russia? OR does that sound like something from someone who has just spent 19 years PAYING AFGHANS to hopefully do their bidding? The US INTEL COMMUNITY. The single biggest aspect of our war there is the boatload of money we have dumped on them.
Also, in the exceedingly unlikely event that some goat humper actually DID tell our intel guys this story, did it ever occur to our “intelligence” guys that the most famous middlemen in human history might have been negotiating, trying to hike the price on what the USA pays them to NOT shoot at our guys? “Yes, American, the Russians pay us much more to shoot at your men than you pay us NOT to...”.
They were scamming our gullible CIA people at best who could not recognize a simple ploy.

There wasn’t a “leaker”. To me that implies someone releasing something true without authorization.
There was a CIA SPY, illegally trying a regime change operation inside the USA. The goal was to make it look like Trump is controlled by Russia.
The CIA leaks to the NYT and the FBI leaks to the WP. Brennan and his co-conspirators against Trump are desperate to bring Trump down to save their own hides. Russia was the one issue that gained traction before so they’ve gone back to the well a second time.
They loved Russia when it was communist. When they turned against homosexuality, started rebuilding churches the bolsheviks destroyed, and flipped the finger to the globalism project, etc... the Democrats started hating them with a passion.
