Almost totally absent from the mainstream news Friday, as the violent insurrection in the wake of George Floyd’s death spread to cities nationwide, were the preliminary results of his autopsy. The report was part of the arrest warrant for Derek Michael Chauvin, the disgraced former Minneapolis police officer who was taken into custody on Friday afternoon and charged with the third-degree murder of Floyd while he was in police custody last Monday evening. The brief mention of the autopsy suggests that the case against Chauvin, and possibly his three colleagues assuming they too will eventually be charged, for being totally responsible for the death of Floyd may not be as cut and dried as previously thought.
The Washington Times headlined its story Friday afternoon “Asphyxiation not the cause of George Floyd's death: Autopsy.” An examination of the official complaint (arrest warrant) for Chauvin includes this sentence from a paragraph about Floyd’s cause of death on page 3:
The combined effects of Mr. Floyd being restrained by police, his underlying health conditions and any potential intoxicants in his system likely contributed to his death.

The eight-minute cell phone video showing Chauvin with his knee on Floyd’s neck after the latter’s arrest for allegedly trying to pass a $20 counterfeit bill, has become one of the most viewed videos of a police action of all time. Reporters, analysts, and almost everyone else in the country from left, right, and center have immediately jumped to the conclusion that Chauvin is clearly guilty of the murder of Floyd.

Did they tase George, which did not work to control George??
Waiting for more information.
The current narrative leaves many unanswered questions
I didn’t see any video that included that. Must have watched a chopped down version. That does change things
It was plainly obvious to anyone that didnt instantly buy the narrative that he was not strangled. The officer is not in the right position to do what everyone is imagining. I suspected from an early reverse shot still of the famous still that if the officers were actually at fault it was the two officers on his back that may have been keeping his chest from expanding properly.
Agreed.
Was George originally wearing a shirt?
George is lying on the ground without a shirt.
Did George’s shirt get ripped up while he was resisting arrest.
Was the effort to resist arrest, plus the drugs in his system, plus a pre-existing condition, all contribute to his death?
remember Floyd was complaining of his stomach hurting?
Yes but this forum has also always had an unusually large number of posters that scale rather high on the SJW scale, or at least those that feel the need to virtue signal every time something happens.
Then why was the officer charged?
There is something else the autopsy that has run up a red flag
that has caused the DA to charge the officer. But that info has
not been released.
*thumbs up*
So if the cop brutally kneeled on your dads neck for 8 minutes as he lay handcuffed and helpless face down in the street, Would anyone except the argument the cop wasnt responsible for the death?
-
If my dad was high on PCP Id accept the findings. Intelligent people make their decisions based on evidence and facts, not emotion. Two things can be true. The police officer used excessive force, but that excessive force had absolutely nothing to do with Mr. Floyds death. Are you suggesting that the officer is guilty of murder if his actions did not actually cause the death? By the way, this goofball Mr. Floyd was screaming I cant breathe while he was standing up! The whole reason everybody is fired up is that they mistakenly believe that the officer strangled him by having his knee on his neck. Thats not true. The autopsy proves that he did not die from lack of oxygen.
There’s also the cops checked for a pulse, found none, and waited two minutes before calling 911. No mention if they tried to perform CPR. I never heard of cops not trained on or reluctant to use CPR before.
Actually, they found no pulse and continued applying force to a handcuffed and unconscious prisoner. For several minutes, too.
Only bigots obsessed with race can’t find criminality in these four dirty cops.
He went stiff as a board and began to fall which is why they laid him on the ground. This is likely what first clued officer Lane that they were seeing excitement delirium.
Just think about that for a moment. Minneapolis?? What happened to "Minnesota Nice"? Could it possibly be connected to the Somali immigrants that BHO seeded Minnesota with when he was POTUS?
Also, can I be indelicate at this time and ask the question, "When was the last time you saw white people burn down their own city?" I know the Union soldiers burned down Atlanta in the Civil War; but, that wasn't their own city.
I am so tired of being blamed because of my skin color, for the misdeeds and out of control behavior of one particular racial group.
He probably died of a heart attack like the cigarette guy in New York.
What time is the KKK meeting doug?
Did anyone closely watch the video of when the ambulance showed up for Floyd? No EMTs got out. It was only guys in bullet-proof vest and police uniforms.
No, you cant.
We call that a choke hole but there is no actual choking, impairment of tracheal flow, going on.
Early on there were claims the officer kneeled on his throat and choked him, as in the front of the neck crushing the windpipe. This was a lie.
Then the story changed to, well he was kneeling on the side blocking the carotid. Its clearly evident in the pictures that that did not happen either. The point of contact is far too far back. Unless you were manufactured by Hurst you will not be able to MMA a choke from that rear position.
Shirley, you jest.
Of course an officer being charged doesn't mean that there is real evidence. Especially, given the current racially charged environment.
I haven't made up my mind yet about the officers guilt.
There are wind chokes, and there are blood chokes. Both are chokes.
The autopsy appears to indicate that neither occurred here, nor did he die of positional asphyxia, because he was not asphyxiated.
Toxicology reports are needed, full and unedited video of entire incident also needed.
I imagine he was charged for the same reason George Zimmerman was charged.
Politics.
At this point, evidence does not support the charges.
Instead of seeking your pound of flesh and looting stores and shooting innocent cops, maybe we should rally for abolishing the use of choke holds and knees on necks?
NOT “knees on backs” as THAT is effective and NOT dangerous.
Protest FOR abolishing the tactic that everyone finds so abhorrent, even though it was NOT the cause of death of George Floyd (former prison inmate and convicted violent criminal).
EVERYONE, Black, White, and Orange can get behind that without burning down businesses, looting TVs, or shooting innocent police officers.
Why not do that instead?
