Morning Joe regular Jon Meacham tends to be cast as the somewhat nerdy, pointy-headed professor, above the partisan fray. (Beats being described as the editor who flew Newsweek into the ground with Tina Brown.) Scarborough regularly teases him about the seven causes of the War of 1812, etc.
In fact, under his scholarly guise, Meacham is just as much a Trump hater as the rest of them.
On today's Morning Joe, Meacham literally described President Trump as dumber than a dog. He said:
"He's failing to do what my Springer Spaniels know we should do, which is launch a Marshall Plan for testing."

The President has some of the top experts in infectious disease advising him. Who is advising Meacham? I’ll bet everything he “knows” about Covid-19 comes directly from the mainstream media—which means he knows nothing and basks in his own ignorance.

Leftists are pushing testing, testing, testing. Results are coming in and, surprise surprise, a large percentage of the populace will be found to be positive for the Corona anti-bodies; having gotten the virus and never even known it.
This will present two problems for Leftists. Why continue the lockdown if everyone has already been exposed? Why the extreme hype for a lockdown on the disease when many people “get it” with no symptoms?
Watch for the Left to pivot away from testing once the results don’t go the way they want. It’s going to be like the 2016 Election where leftists screamed for a recount on key states. The recount began, and instantly turned up gross irregularities... in Dem controlled precincts, like *more* than 100% registered voter turnout. The recounting was quickly stopped without any questions from the MSM.
What these people cannot bring themselves to acknowledge, even to themselves, is that Donald Trump towers over them intellectually.
