Michael Moore is out with a new film the media will hype but most Americans will never see. This speaks well of the latter and poorly of the former.
In a Reuters story promoting Moore's latest, he admits:
Moore said that he, like many people, thought electric cars were a good idea, but I didnt really think about where is the electricity coming from?
That's awesome. Moore has been going around for decades promoting politicians and policies that would basically wreck the economy. He wanted a coronavirus-level economic tsunami before we'd ever heard of Wuhan and its bats.
But he had no idea what he was talking about. He continues.
I assumed solar panels would last for ever. I didnt know what went into the making of them, Moore added, referring to raw materials, including quartz, and the fossil fuels needed to manufacture the panels.
What's the word I'm looking for here? Oh, right. Clueless. Michael Moore is clueless.
I know, that's probably not news to most of our readers. But it's nice to see it confirmed from his own mouth. Michael Moore has pushed medical policy despite having no clue about it, and he has pushed environmental policy despite having no clue about that too.
Let's take electric cars. They're not powered by peace, love and boutique dispensary pot. They're powered by a combination of oil, coal, natural gas, and the most heinous form of energy to some of the left -- nuclear power -- along with wind and solar. So that environmentally conscious and ostentatious Tesla you see zipping down the road isn't any better, really, than your gas car. Its emissions and consequences are just transferred from right where it is to somewhere else. If you're anti-nuke, electric cars are far worse.

He made the mistake of looking behind the curtain. Now all the lies will crush him.
clueless + stuck on stupid + and can't handle the truth = lefturd loons
I don’t have one, but I like electric cars and I hope to acquire one some day. I know they are not saving the environment, but I like the idea of lower maintenance and a quieter ride. My ‘98 Buick LeSabre is going to give up the ghost one of these days and maybe my next car will be electric.
Solar panels work and do last forever
That being said they do not work at night and this is when you want to charge your car
I had a very similar encounter with a friend’s neighbor in Austin who was beaming with pride over her new electric lawn mower. When I pointed out that the electricity comes from a coal burning electricity plant, she was devastated. The only thing better came 30 minutes later, when I saw her half mowed lawn and the mower plugged into the outlet on her porch.
I've asked anyone who would listen, for years, where all these watts that were supposed to power the traffic jams of the future were supposed to come from, and all I got was "solar", "new batteries" and the wonders of superfast choo choos.
Occasionally I saw a hint of whether the proles should need to travel, when the State needs them to stay put, for the Good of the Party.
“So anyone who listened to me was even stupider than me”
Wrong, electricity comes from outlets in my wall.
Isn't that the truth!
I am consistently amazed at the science illiteracy of our so-called leaders.
Great story. I’ve see many battery mowers in the return pile at my local Home Depot and Lowes. That was enough to deter me from considering one. There are so many drawbacks to battery cars I could go on for a while. In what research I’ve done hydrogen would be the way...just my 2 cent.
LOL...would love to see that one.
Everything in the world has an energy signature. The fool with a Prius who just bought his wife a heavy gold bracelet is clueless...
Liberalism is a form of battered women syndrome. There is no escape.
Solar panels lose 1% to 1.5% capacity every year of service. High temperature operation degrades the panels at a higher rate. They are not service free over the 25 year projected lifetime.
Add to these geniuses the idea that groceries come from the store and we don’t need dirt farmers with their massive diesel tractors.
yep
Actually, no they dont and they are classified as hazardous waste.
